The Animal Doctor and her entire staff are wonderful! I definitely feel like I made the best decision I could have for my dog's health by coming here. If you are considering holistic care for your pet, I would fully encourage you to come here because I feel like I know more about my dog's health after one visit than I did after taking her to our old vet for 2 years. I think we're finally on the road to recovery!
Awful first visit. This was my pups first vet visit ever since I've only had her 9 days, but we will never go back! Most of the staff was nice, but the doctor was incredibly rude. Didn't even greet me or introduce herself when she came to the exam room to look at my puppy. She also told me that whatever perfume it was that I had on was giving her a headache and it stunk. How about focusing on my dog and not what I'm wearing?? I will definitely be looking elsewhere to take my dog.
Best vet I've ever been to! I took my cat in for some breathing issues and her and her team instantly realized 2 things the vet didn't notice just days prior. She recommended some great supplements and even told us where we could get some cheaper than what she had to offer. . She even gave us advice about our other animals and recommended some supplements for them. We were sent home with a plan to get our kitty back to top health, a plan we feel comfortable and positive about. One of the very techs stays in the room the whole time taking very detailed notes, like literally everything we talked about was put in the notes. The notes were great because she gave us a ton of info, so when we got home it was awesome to have them to go back and review. We didn't do a holistic visit this time, but she still provided great natural help. To top it all off her prices were very fair! $50 for the visit and blood work for $42.
I'm new to the area and took my recently adopted schnauzer to Dr. Bozeman because she is the most natural health care minded vet I came across in my search. Her staff/vet techs are very nice and efficient. The tech that was in the room with us took great detailed notes of our visit. Dr Bozeman herself is definitely more of an animal lover than a people lover she's pretty gruff and not much of a listener but she obviously knows a whole lot about dogs and I've never experienced such a thorough, astute pet exam from another vet. She recognized issues with my dog that I'd never even considered and it explained a lot about his odd behaviors. I especially appreciate her concern about vaccines, which seems pretty progressive for this area of TX. I'll take a knowledgeable, effective vet over a lesser one with better bedside manner any time! Be forewarned that she doesn't tolerate artificial scents very well and although it's apparently posted on the office I wasn't told before the visit and she wasn't too happy about it. I'll know next time and I do plan to continue seeing Dr. Bozeman for all of my pets!
Love her or hate her she is a great vet. She saw with one look what no other veterinarian saw. A rabies vaccine injection site from a year earlier turned into a tumor. A fast growing sarcoma. Unfortunately I wasted too much time with other vets who did not see it I had to let my dog go.. The pain got to much for the medications. I recommend her highly. She added good YEARS to my sisters dog. Other veterinarians were telling her it was hopeless time to put him down. Just don't wear fragrance. I have much respect for Nancy Bozeman.
We were referred to Dr. Bozeman a little too late for our little white schnauzer to be helped although she tried very hard to do so. I only wish I would have found her sooner as my traditional Doctor hastened his departure by administering vacines to my elderly dog and operating when he should not have. As we gathered as a family to say goodbye to our 13 year old friend we could not have been treated with more respect and dignity. We likely will get another companion, when and if the time comes, there will be no other Vet that we will use. I was told prior to going to not wear fragrance as there was a severe allergy by the Vet. She did not really speak to us much, but admitted that she speaks animal language much more than people language. That's okay with me!
Amazing! My 12 year old pit was losing function of his back legs. After 6 visits my dogs is now galloping up the steps and fetches his toys like he use to! My old vet was taking euthanasia but my dog still had so much life in him, it's just his back was failing.. I wasn't ready to give up! We are THANKFUL we found our NEW veterinarian. She and her staff are A+++!!!
I have been wanting to go check out The Animal Doctor for some time now. I have moved my family into holistic and have wanted to move my animals as well. While, I did make a mistake by not mentioning when I made the appointment that I wanted a Holistic appointment, the staff were wonderful at being able to fit it in. My son's little dog has been having seizures, so I felt this was a good opportunity to go and check them out. I am very happy with the time Dr Bozeman spent with us and making sure asking many times if I had any questions. It was also very helpful that she had a staff member that takes notes while there that I received a copy of, so later when I was trying to remember what had been said and findings and such, I was able to look it up on the notes. Knowing holistic treatment is often not immediate, I am very happy with the plan we are moving with and comfortable with the care our little dog is receiving. I will definitely be moving all my animals over to The Animal Doctor.
I have read all the other reviews and just want to clarify a few things. Dr. Bozeman is very sensitive to smells, and has a posted policy on her office wall. A lot of perfumes and fragrances contain endocrine disruptors so it’s something we should all be more conscious of! She is a great holistic vet, but not really a hand holder. I think she really shines in the area of end of life care. She has an old dog that she performs quality of life procedures on, so she’s very well versed. Her prices are very reasonable for the amount of time she spends with the animals.
Today my dog got out of my fence and I ran around frantically trying to locate him. I searched for 30 minutes before i decided to come back and get in my car to go look for him. To no avail, of course my car doesn’t start. It wasn’t my morning to say the least. Suddenly my door bell rings and I’m thinking it’s my mother who has told me she’s on her way. I opened the door and fell to the floor. One of the staff members had personally walked him over to my house which is about a block or so from the clinic after using her resources at the clinic to find my address. I’m am extremely grateful for their integrity, and especially this one amazing staff member. I would highly recommend them if your uneasy with the catering needs of your dog. Thank you thank you thank you!
