It's an adorable house converted into a restaurant. We sat on the back patio with the pup and had the most attentive, nice and knowledgeable server. She definitely made the visit more enjoyable. The prices and portions are perfect. They had a few specials on Tuesday; Before 2pm all entrees $10 w/ drink 2:30-? Happy hour tacos $3.00 Date night special 2 drinks 2 entrees and shared dessert $30 The food is fresh but a bit bland.
Every time we visit the Crescent Beach/St. Augustine area, this restaurant is at the top of the list. We absolutely love their unique tacos. My personal favorites are the mojo pork, Chimichurri pork, and shrimp tacos. Each taco has an accompanying sauce that takes your culinary experience to the next level. I wish they hadn’t taken the dynamite shrimp tacos off the menu a while back because they were awesome as well. If you arrive between 2:30 and 5:30, the tacos are only $2.50 a piece, which is a great value. Other favorites on the menu include their drunken wet burrito and the Cuban sandwich. Last but certainly not least is their orange cream craft soda. It is so tasty! Even though this restaurant is off the beaten path, it is certainly worth it!
We went here for dinner the first night of our visit. Quaint little restaurant with lovely outdoor dining area. Staff is friendly. Service was a bit slow but with it being such a small place we didn't mind. Vegetarian friendly, not vegan friendly. Food is very good. I ordered the chimichurri avocado quesadilla and I felt the chimichurri was missing but otherwise very tasty. Also pictured is the chili mac and veggie melt. The pretzel sticks were delicious as were the 2 sauces that come with it. Overall very good. Parking is lacking so we had to park next door but we had a great time.
I wanted to love this place. Quaint and cozy house converted to a restaurant. Loved that part but both of us really were not impressed with the flavor and quality of the food. Bland, dry, some overcooked. Will comeback since I am hopeful it was just an off day.
Visiting home for a little before returning HOME in Ghana. This was a cozy little place in Saint Augustine Florida. This was an old home renovated into a quaint eatery. The decor was muted pastels with pops of color and art hung on all of the walls. Many of the pieces were for sale. Each bedroom on the bottom floor was turned into a dining area which is great if you would like a private get together. Wet Burrito!!!! This was delicious and huge. I am a cheese lover so this burrito hit the spot! The portions are unbelievable! Though tasty I wish there was more heat and flavor Ghanaian food is flavorful, I believe that is why my palate was searching for more. The hospitality was amazing as well I rate it Enjoy!
Nice little hole in the wall restaurant was a bit skeptical at first but surprisingly the food was good! The staff was also friendly. If you are visiting St. Augustine you should try it. The only thing I felt was missing is they are very limited on the adult drinks. I had the shrimp taco FYI
Decent food, not great. The burrito i had was cold in the center and not great? Staff is distracted .. I have tried this cute little place 3 times and still have not found a dish i really like! On the bright side they have a great patio in the back and they have Tuesday date night and wed 1/2 off bottles of wine!
Ordered carry out this evening. Everything tasted fresh, but not as hot as we would have liked. Sweet potatoes come covered in a chimichurri sauce. Mac and cheese comes with green onions sprinkled on top. Max and cheese was a tad on the salty side, chilli lacked salt, and came barely warm. Buffalo chicken tacos and avocado tacos were good, nothing that “wow’d” us though. Service was polite and welcoming!
Food was good. Vibe was depressing. I ordered a lemonade that tasted funny so I sent it back and just got water, it was still on my bill. We won’t be going back.
Really neat old little place off the beaten trail in St. Augustine. Service is great and food is excellent. Highly recommend the house Philly with beer cheese sauce. Wow.
