We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing school based services for children with autism spectrum disorders and related disabilities.
The Bancroft School is located just outside of Chicago, Illinois. We are approved by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) as a nonpublic special education facility that services children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, PDD-NOS, emotional/behavioral disorders, specific learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, and other health impairments.
We are committed to providing our students and families with every advantage, including providing the best individualized instruction for each child. Using the standards of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB), while also incorporating social and relationship development, we offer year-round 1:1 student to teacher instruction. We use scientifically-based principles to create individualized treatment plans (ITPs) for each student which address our students' unique needs and progress. Emphasis is placed on creating motivating environments, in which children enjoy learning and are able to reach their full potential.
