The Bank of Salem was founded October 10, 1883. It was the first bank in Salem and is one of the oldest banks in the Ozarks.
On October 10, 2008, the Bank of Salem celebrated its 125th birthday. The Bank is still owned and operated by descendants of the original bank organizers.
