Joyce and Paul Kessler of Canon City, CO began their venture in the spring of 2000. They sold used furniture in their yard on the weekends and discovered there was a real need for this type of business. In the fall of 2000, they moved into a business location and did quite well through the winter of 2000 and 2001. In the spring of of 2001 they had a 'Name this Business Contest' The winner of the contest was The Bargain Barn. A very nice lady received her prize and The Bargain Barn sign went up the same day. In 2003 The Bargain Barn began selling new mattress sets and in 2005 began offering new furniture. To this day Joyce and Paul sell the best quality mattress sets and furniture for the lowest possible prices. Each day they two of them along with their dedicated staff provide excellent quality and customer service from the time their customers walk through door to the completion of each and every delivery.
