My family had a wonderful experience here. We were shopping for a couch and found the perfect one here. It's a gorgeous sectional that is perfect for our family. They gave us a wonderful discount and even held it for us until we could pick it up. Even though it is secondhand, our couch is in wonderful condition and there were no smoke or pet smells. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back.
I would not be writing an honest review if I did not warn you: Do not expect a lot of small talk or greeting when you enter this establishment. The management does not appear to be much on conversation. Be ready to state your interests and get on with the business at hand--I guess they are too busy rearranging furniture to say "Hello."
Lacking southern hospitality and common decencies in my own personal opinion. Obviously after the money before kindness, as is the capitalist way. But I was raised differently. I assisted an elderly woman on picking up a washer and dryer that she had won and took it to this location for resale. Now I was just a simple third party and didn't have anything personal invested in the transaction, but it was obvious that she needed the help at the moment. Still in the box, a matching washer and dryer at the value of $599.95 each wholesale, they haggled and dragged their feet around until she accepted a meer $400 for it "before the rain ruins the boxes they are in" as they put it. They were nice enough not to charge me tax for the soda I bought, but thinking back now, I believe that would be tax evasion on my part I would give them a one star, but as I stated, I was just a third party that helped them unload it and get into the store just "before the rain ruins the boxes they came in". If they would had simply not charged me for the can of soda, I would have left a slightly better review and stars. A lesser man would have left a more detailed review of the experience as well with one star. Food for thought
I am shopping for a used table, but after reading all the reviews it reminded me of how rude the owner was when I spoke with him about some comic books a few years back. I was very kind and asked him a few questions, his responses reeked of arrogance and hatred for others. Beard on the reviews, it seems that hasn't changed. I'm all for mercy with reviews and for business, as business owners we don't get everything right. But given my own experience and the many reviews of others, I won't chance it... I'll spend my money elsewhere.
This was the first place we bought furniture from... Shay was amazing although each time we came in she wasn't there and the person you have working didn't seem to want to be bothered. She had answers before I could get my question out.... when I said that's not what I was asking, we just decided to leave.
Don’t buy anything from this place, EVER! Recently bought a dryer for quite a bit of money expecting it to work, but it doesn’t work. It heats up but doesn’t tumble. The owner will not refund us because he claims it worked before we brought it home. I doubt he actually tried to dry towels and clothes in it. The dryer is a fire hazard, a waste of our time and money, yet we can’t have a refund even though we paid for something that doesn’t work. This place is a fraud and I will be contacting some kind of authority about it.
Exactly as many many other reviews have stated, the owner is much more than completely unprofessional and rude. I cannot write exactly what I think for fear my review would be removed. Let's just say I have not been treated like that as a customer in many years. I'll never be back, obviously many others wont as well. Don't contribute your money to a store like this, look elsewhere to support the local business community.
The shop was a nice little shop easy to get to and find. The parking lot is very small and the store inside could use a little more TLC. Though the shop was nice the prices for second hand items are not as fair as they think. I attempted to negotiate but got a lecture of how much the item is new and how I should not negotiate because that is being greedy. However I guess I struck a nerve as the individual kept lecturing me as I was leaving. The lecture I didn’t mind but the tone and pettiness of the individual was not what I would call friendly. Like I said nice shop, great location, more parking, cleanliness a must, and a little more hospitality could make this shop worth visiting. DO NOT SHOP HERE! They steal your money. My mother fully paid for items here, she went to pick up her items and they REFUSED to give her the goods. They suddenly had no receipt for her items that she had paid almost 800 for. When she asked for the manager, suddenly none were around to assist. I will be reporting them to the State Attorney Generals office, BBB, and filing a civil complaint with the Sheriffs department. Its one thing to overprice your items but it’s another to take advantage of the elderly population who live on fixed incomes. I pray no one ever treats you the way they treated my 70 year old mother
