Amazing staff from when you walk in to when your seated. Very nice atmosphere and many food options. The baked cheese & spinach dip was addicting! Will be coming back here again.Food: 5/5
Hey! I love this place. I have been here a couple of times but today was different. I always have ordered the banana foster waffle, it was burnt today. All of them tasted different but because i was super hungry, i had it but the last one was super burnt and i wanted to call it out. I showed it to the manager and wasn’t expecting a replacement. I was always happy with the service at Bauer but didn’t think they acted well today. I was hoping they would waive off the charge, but they didn’t and we paid. I’m just putting it out here so you know what to expect. I was disappointed totally!
We went to this place on mother’s day and there were a lot of people and longer waiting time for your food to be served. So basically, I understand the situation. Service was great, the waitress serving us is very friendly and helpful. As for the food, it was delicious and my parents love the taste also the price is reasonable.
I had an outstanding dining experience at The Bauer Kitchen in Waterloo, Ontario. This restaurant truly deserves a five-star rating. My family and I visited for lunch, and we were thoroughly impressed with both the food and service. We ordered the Szechuan Seared Tofu Bowl, which was a delightful blend of flavors and textures. The combination of avocado, ripe mango, cucumber, pickled radish, carrot, sushi rice, cabbage, crispy shallot, and tamari ginger lime dressing was simply exquisite. The tofu was perfectly seared, adding a delightful crunch to the dish. We also indulged in a classic Margherita pizza, and it was a perfect example of simplicity done right. The fior di latte, tomato sauce, and fresh basil came together harmoniously, creating a mouthwatering pizza that we couldn't get enough of. What truly stood out, besides the incredible food, was the excellent service we received. The staff at The Bauer Kitchen were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Overall, The Bauer Kitchen is a great restaurant in Waterloo, offering a fantastic dining experience with a diverse and delicious menu. If you're looking for exceptional food and great service, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. It's a five-star destination for sure!
Absolutely amazing place to eat. Last week, my friends and I tried this place and we really enjoyed our food. my friends and I got the Brick Roasted Half Chicken, Sunflower Crusted Atlantic Salmon, and Roasted Chicken Cavatelli. It’s all very delicious! Today, I came again and try other things on the menu. I highly recommend getting the confit duck wings. The charboiled pork steak was very tender and tasty. The server was really nice and attentive. The whole experience from start to finish was great. We will definitely going back! Updated: Came here last Friday night and we were really disappointed. Our server never asked us if the food was tasting okay or if we needed anything else. Basically just took our order, dropped the food, and billed us. That’s it. No customer service involved. I think he had only 1 table that time coz it’s around 10pm. I am a server too, and even if I got a lot of tables to be taken care of, I would always come back to my tables and make sure that they are okay with their dining experience. I am not sure if I will come back again.
Time and time again this wonderful restaurant impresses me. Service right from the door to the cheque is friendly, fast and with a smile. The atmosphere and really great and the food is to die for. The wood fire pizzas and outstanding, highly recommend. Pickerel is usually my go to, I believe its fresh Ontario caught, but lately the beef short rib and mushroom gnocchi has been my go to! It's incredible! Also do yourself a favour and try the sweet potatoe fries, best in town. The wine selection at the Bauer is plentiful and cocktails are made with care. Not an inexpensive restaurant, keep that in mind, but you will understand there those extra pennies went once your meal is through. Would recommend in a heartbeat! Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options
Excellent wood-fired pizza. I got the Sweet Butcher, which was wonderfully crispy with great topping flavours and ratios. I love when you can crush a full pizza and feel no ill effects afterward - really speaks to the ingredient quality and lack of grease. A must try!Food: 5/5
Extensive wine list our wait staff associate Luke was welcoming and full of positive energy! Very attentive but not hovering " Our expo" the gal that brought out our bottle of wine couldn't remove the already removed cork from the bottle she had to go back to the bar to have someone just pull it off it took ten minutes, she seemed nervous, I swirled and tasted said that nice, and she started to fill the glass I stopped her as it was reaching too high for my liking. That was the only iffy part of our lunch. We both had the short rib and gnocchi with wild mushrooms it was superb! We thought a small plate of bread would have been a nice touch but it was an amazing girl's lunch out.
Great service and meal. The antipasto platter had great variety and selection, the pate was so good. The Mercer Pizza was exceptional as was the crab toast and pork steak. They had so many options for those in our party with dietary restrictions gluten free, dairy free and a great selection of non alc cocktails and wines by the glass. The cappuccino creme brulee was adorable and delicious. Our server Paulina was professional, prompt and very friendly. She knew when to stop and chat and when to move on to her other tables.
Could add some fruit to their eggs benny. The buttermilk biscuits were kind of dry. Had to take a gulp of water after almost every bite. Also didn't like how it would break apart into small pieces. The potatoes were very plain, just roasted potatoes seasoned with salt, didn't have any other herbs or spices to them. Service was 5 star.
