The Bay Club

They were fair with me during the pandemic. Hope whomever they rent from is considerate of the fact they must have had a big hit during the shut down. The club has lost it's uper eschelon vibe, and I blame the woke policy makers, not the club. In fact, when I was told I had to wear a mask I was rude to the poor kid at the front only to realize it was my own misguided frustration at the policies of the county. Poor kid, he was a real pro BTW. So, I think they deserve 5 stars.

I've been a member now for about three years and I really love this place. It may not have all the amenities of some clubs but it has a great vibe. There is plenty of room most of the time with ample new weight and cardio machines. Management, especially Mary who seems to be the foundation of the club, are warm and friendly. You can do your thing and not feel like everyone is watching you. I can understand, if you're new to the club, where in some dance classes, a few people insist on occupying "their spot,'" but just find a temporary place near the edges and be cool with it for a while. It will get better and you'll make nice friends. Just do it, join!!

If I could give a negative review, I would. I cancelled my membership back in May of 2018, and as of February 6th 2019, they were still charging me $119 in membership fees. I called to tell them only to have their manager tell me they never got my cancellation. I went into the club and signed the paperwork with the manager, with another employee present to witness. They deny everything. Unfortunately I already threw away my copy of the cancellation because it's been so long. The club charged me an extra $952 for 8 months and deny any wrongdoing. They said they usually scan all cancellations but can't find mine. Well obviously you either lost my paperwork or forgot to scan it! The manager was going to wait until the employee who witnessed to come back from vacation and check with her. As of today, February 16th, I still haven't heard back from them. That's how terrible their customer service is. The reason I cancelled was because all their members were hogging up spaces on the studio floor and "claiming" spots saying how a certain spot was their usual position. This is ridiculous. I am paying the same amount of money as anyone else and I got there first, why should I concede my spot because it was a certain person's usual spot? This club is a complete fraud and their customer service is absolutely horrendous.

Everyone there is very nice and professional. However, the equipment is very dated, I went to this gym 7 years ago and 90% of the equipment is the same old thing. Locker rooms also smell terrible and I have no interest in showering there. I paid $150 for 2 months, which is reasonable, but the equipment is so dated, you think they would upgrade!

Excellent gym and great staff. I have been coming here for 4 years. They have lots of machines, free weights, bench/squat/deadlift racks, fitness classes, and more. The bathrooms are always clean and have plenty of fresh towels.

Clean, spacious and never crowded. Received a complimentary personal training session upon joining with Joe, who was extremely informative, friendly, patient and attentive whilst helping me get back on track in my weightlifting. Well worth the money; recommend it.

The front desk and cleaning staff do a really great job. The whole place seems managed very well. Plenty of free weights and machines. 5 stars.

This club is definitely the red headed stepchild of all the clubs. I usually work out at the El Segundo club. This one needs a revamp but its still nicer than any LA Fitness!

They need to reinstate longer weekend hours they still close at 1 PM Saturday and Sunday. Employees are not friendly at all including management.
