Not sure if we went on a bad day or what but sadly we had a horrible first impression here. We came here based on amazing reviews. Had a good selection, and some cool collectibles and figures to look at. They had a sale going on but it was not clear which comics were included. We picked the comics we wanted and when we went to check out the woman gave us a larger price than expected. We just asked to confirm if any of these were included in the sale and the woman said “no, only the ones in this bin, not the whole store.. we aren’t a 99 cent store” and walked away. Safe to say we will never come back here again because that was incredibly rude and unnecessary. It’s a shame because we are huge nerds and truly appreciate this stuff and are always looking to support small comic book stores.
I used to shop here often. Customer service varies based on who you talk to. Talking to the owner when trying to sell my comics was a waste of time. I walked in with old 12c cover price pristine amazing Spider-Man comics and asked for a grading and a quote that they would purchase it for. The guy looks at the stack of comics for just a split second, suggests a ridiculously low score, and then proceeds to ignore me. That was the last time I've ever gone to that store, I wouldn't be going back.
Had to change my review. After shopping here for months,I sold some comics. Got store credit and was sold 3 CGC slabs that not one ever sold for more than $92 for about $200 to $250 each. I totally understand a shop having to make money, thats why i was loyal to them untill I found out what I bought. In total I was screwed out of $300. That amount isnt cool for anyone, especially someone as loyal as me.
Amazing store. I’ve been searching for a local comic book store for some time now and visited many, but this one is by far the best. To start the staff here are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. There is a huge selection of old and new comics. Rarely have I had trouble finding what I’m looking for especially with newer releases as they are well stacked. They also have a good selection of funko pops, they’re not the standard boring pops you’ll find in other stores. Definitely the best comic store in the area.
Love this shop. When I lived in Long Island this was the shop for me. Huge selection of back stock and statues available. Best of all during holidays they always have 50% off every item. Also when you buy 10 comics from their back issue bins they are $1 each. Swing by if your in the area staff is very friendly Zack who works there is always helping customers out. They have artist also during special events lots of goodies and gems to be found here.
My personal favorite comic book store. staff is always super kind and helpful. makes you feel more valued as a person than a customer
I just came here to look around since it looked so cool. They have a lot of comics and toys/collectibles.
Rip off. They take advantage of the customers. They charged $25 for a $5 comic just because they knew a lot of people wanted it. I will never buy another comic from them again. Update..just to clarify as comics do gain value over the years. This is not a comic that is 20 years old. It's not even 20 mins old, it just came out. It's bad enough we have scalpers that buy up items then turn around and sell it for 5-10 times the amount. Now we have a store owner doing it to their own customers. Store owners should not be allowed to scalp their own merchandise.
Love stopping by whenever I'm in the area. Great shop for random knick knacks. Fun way to kill time and to get away from the crowds. Staff is always fun just like the items they sell.
A friendly, knowledgeable, staff. Plenty of merchandise. If they do not have something you want in stock, they will get it for you. What more could a customer ask for? I would never shop anywhere else. This place truly is the best.
