We enjoyed our time here. The service was great and the food was good overall. Unlimited coffee refills, coffee was fine. They have half and half rather than creamer. Prices are standard and our bill was about $60 for two ppl ordering two plates each eggs & waffles/FT.. I had poached eggs which were ordered medium but given undercooked. Besides that, everything was basically on point.
The best bagels. My husband and I stopped for lunch today. I had corn chowder. My husband and I split the delicious fries, he had a Reuben sandwich. All food was delicious and the presentation was incredible. Their breakfast buffet on Sundays is delicious and has a great assortment of food including an omelette bar. Matt has taken care of the omelette bar when we have visited on Sundays, he does a great job with the omelets. He is a really nice guy. I spoke with co-owner Karl today. Him and the other co-owner Stephen work everyday of the week. Their hard work has paid off. I think they really deserve one day off a week at least every other week!! Did I mention ~ The Bistro has great bagels!
First time coming here! It was very clean and offerered a selection of baked breakfast items as well as dessert item cupcakes, bars, etc at their display counter when you walk in. Their coffee was excellent. You can always tell how your experience will go by the taste of the coffee! We had a steak bomb omelet, country sandwich and a cinnamon roll. They warmed up the roll and it tasted amazingly fresh. Their prices were reasonable and the food and service was excellent. We would go back.
Went here for breakfast and was satisfied. I ordered Hash and eggs, with coffee. I requested extra crispy on the corned beef hash and was a little disappointed, but not so much it would have been worth speaking up. The breakfast was alright, but for the price, I felt it didn't add up. There's other places I'd rather go, that are much better, cost less, larger portion, but this was convenient and close.
Decent breakfast buffet with an omelette bar. I would like to see a better fruit selection as well as a better separation of utensils between meat and non-meat. The eggsbare paired with corn beef hash and the potatoes are paired with sausage gravy. It would be a simple switch.
We used to go here all the time prepandemic with our daughter. It was wonderful. What happened? They were having a full kitchen and server meltdown. In the kitchen, they kept making the wrong type of Benedict for our table then giving it to other tables after a long discussion. You could hear the manager yelling about food sitting. My food, a basic eggs, bacon, and potatoes had ice cold eggs and piping hot potatoes. It's a shame. It was a good place.
Absolutely love this restaurant! I visit for lunch almost every Thursday with a co-worker. Favorite menu items are the Red Velvet Pancakes, Breakfast Burrito with Bacon and their burgers. The waitstaff is super friendly-especially Bill. They have an amazing pastry case and offer custom cakes. The atmosphere is casual and there is plenty of seating as well as parking. My only slight is that the bathroom isn't very clean and could use a major update.
Nice atmosphere, they recently put in a giant flatscreen, highly recommend the banana nut muffin grilled with butter, coffee is average, prices mid range to a bit high. Food is good, did try the nova lox once it was interestingly different. Bill and Karen are awesome, good service from them both. They could up date the menu a bit, I guess Sunday breakfast buffet is every other Sunday now. But overall to stop in for a bit.
Arrive early as it tends to fill up if you wait very long. Our waitress was very friendly and the chef came by to make sure everything was okay. We had breakfast combos. All good and bottomless coffee. Affordable. One of our party is gluten allergic and they a lot of items that met her need.
Stopped in this place to grab some breakfast sandwiches. Really disappointed. Just because you put some everything seasoning on a piece of bread does not make it a bagel. It was like a bulkie roll, soft, no chew or sheen. The sausage might as well have been a piece of rubber. Tasteless.Never thought I would miss NJ...
