Songwriters, Musicians and Happy Hour Goers’.. . it’s live music with great food, drinks and great music from 5-8:30 at Stoney’s every Tuesday. Family friendly. Minimum performer age is 12.

The twist is that each week a guest judge from the music industry will choose the best original song and the winner will receive 2 hours recording time in a professional studio to record the song.
The Stoney Inn, Pinnacle College and two local songwriters are partnering to create a unique new Open Mic night every Tuesday 5:30pm – 8:00pm at the Stoney Inn, 1320 Del Paso Boulevard.
Songwriters and musicians will need to sign up each week from 5:00 to 5:30 to get one of 12 slots. Each performer will get to perform 2-3 songs or10 minutes whichever comes first. The songwriters can play any song in any genre but only original songs will be eligible to win the studio time.
Co-host Dave Nettles, one of the creators of the event hopes to develop a musician friendly atmosphere where both experienced and new songwriters can perform their songs on a big stage, with full mix and concert sound and can get good feedback and hone their craft.
Special guests from the music industry will include producers and engineers, owners of recording studios, artist managers, radio disc jockeys and local and touring bands and musicians who have already had some success.
The hosts, the Stoney Inn and Pinnacle College all hope to provide not just a great place where songwriters can play their songs for an audience and win recording time, but somewhere they might meet contacts who could help them get to the next level in their music careers.
