A gem but be sure to arrive more than 30 minutes before closing as the kitchen closes down a bit early. The food is top of the top for a bar in a small community. Live music was surprisingly awesome for a small spot. But hey, it's The South so I should have expected hidden talent Serving staff was super and friendly. The atmosphere reminds me of Cheers but with a Texas / Louisiana twist. Check out all the shops nearby and the Church around the corner, oh and the gorgeous riverfront.
Nice ambiance as far as the setting goes. Food is sub-par. Pecan pie was THE BEST ITEM! Shrimp and corn bisque was too lumpy and too salty. Their fried fish has that fish fry gritty coating on it.
Food was really good. Had a new trainee serving, manager came by twice to check on us. We had snapper and catfish, both were cooked perfect! Portion size was excellent!Food: 5/5
Their Frozen Margaritas and Oysters Rockefeller are awesome! The blend of my margarita was cloud soft and did leave a nice buzz. I also enjoy the seafood dip they offer. The staff was genuinely friendly here.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: No
This is a fantastic place to visit if you're visiting the town. The oysters are great, the poboys are great, appetizers are great, and drinks are great. The servers are awesome as well. Definitely my new go-to when I come to visit.
Best pub and grill food I've ever had! The waitress was awesome, friendly and did a great job! Everyone in our group of six loved their food! We will definitely go back!Dine in: Yes
Food and service were great. Fried Gator appetizer was delicious , Catfish was fresh and seasoned just right. Frozen drinks hit the spot and I adored their tarter sauce! I did have to ask for my hush puppies which were included with my meal. The prices are fairly high, therefore a guest shouldn’t have to ask for any part of what’s included with their meal.
Do not get the oysters. They are preshucked put on a washed oyster shell and refrigerated until some orders them. I would have loved to try the baked oysters however the oyster oven was broken.
Our waitress, Natalie, was absolutely great. She had a lovely and great personality. Worked liked a Trojan getting everything we needed. Ordered fried fish platters and food was not seasoned and cold when served.. Spoke with kitchen manager who rolled his eyes as we explained food was cold. Restaurant manager did apologize. Have to hand it to Natalie as she was the only good thing going for this restaurant. Natalie keep on keeping on and don't let this restaurant steal your thunder.
We were a little disappointed with the restaurant. It was so crowded that our server forgot about us. We were sitting there for a pretty long time before our drinks were served. We ordered for crab cakes, which were over salted. My husband ordered for combination platter with crawfish tails, frog legs and gator bites. He liked it. My order was seafood gumbo in a cup. It was over salted as well. It is an accessible restaurant for sure. The restrooms are also accessible. You can actually go to the bad, next door, from inside. If you want to listen to live music while eating, you might like it. Just a little heads up, if the restaurant is too crowded, make sure you server doesn't forget about you.
