Saw the good reviews, so my wife and I stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon at 3:30. Four people were sitting at two tables, and three people were at the bar. The woman tending bar pulled herself away from chatting with a customer and seated us after we stood at the door for 5 minutes, then resumed her post at the bar. Having no sign of any other employees after 10 minutes of sitting at the table, and seeing that the other diners there before us were not served, we departed. Didn't get a chance to taste any food. Hope you have better luck!
My favorite place for calamari. French onion soup is also amazing. We love sitting on the outdoor patio in the back with umbrellas and string lighting.Food: 5/5
We really did enjoy our time here. It was a date night for us. The servers were nice and knowledgeable. The drinks were perfect. I'm just not sure what happened with the food. It's hard to make a solid complaint when you're not local to the area. It could just be a Rhode island thing or even just a brazen hen style, but the gravy was not favorite. It was thick jelly like and super super salty. I had the poutine and the meatloaf, and it was on both. I scraped it off the meatloaf, and the rest of the meal was great. Parking: We were lucky and there was a spot open on the street right in front of the restaurant.
OMG...lovely atmosphere! Very welcoming and clean! Ahi wrap was sooooooo AMAZING! We're from Long Island and had a blast!! Parking: The parking person was lovely!
Food was good Reasonably Priced. Drinks were very good. The menu was a little less then I like as in apps. There is no shortage of booze though and it looked like a very nice place for a later day excursion.
Had a late lunch with a friend here on Friday and everything was great. Huge shout out to our server, who seemed to be the only one serving all customers and she was doing an excellent job! Nice selection of menu items/drinks. We shared the Asian-inspired calamari app which was so good; we'd never had anything like it and definitely recommend. My burger with the Irish cheddar and Jameson ketchup was also good and my friend really enjoyed her salad with teriyaki steak on top. Worth the stop if you're in the area!
This is my go to place for Fish and Chips in downtown Westerly. Unlike most restaurants who serve fish and chips, there is a sizeable portion of Cod that is light and delicious and not weighed down with a ton of batter. The chowder is delicious and in the New England style and has a hint of tang. My only concern is the coleslaw; It be nice to have a slightly larger portion. The staff is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere reminds me of an Irish pub.
Great atmosphere. However after 30 mins of being either forgotten or not noticed once seated by the hostess, my mother and I just left to go somewhere else. It was really disappointing because we loved everything about the place. The service unfortunately just happened to be non existent in our case. I watched as waitresses and the hostess sat and sat while we were just trying to figure out if this was a joke or actually this bad of service. I think I’d give this place another try, but as of now I would have a backup in mind… just incase.
Food was delicious. I had the salmon on rice with a small heap of vegetables and kimchee. My companion had scallops plus a salad. White wine was a generous serving. Great meal and friendly, helpful servers. AND FREE PARKING IS AVAILABLE BEHIND THE RESTAURANT, which is a huge plus in Westerly.Food: 5/5
My wife and I were checking out Westerly on a chilly April day and happened on the restaurant for a late lunch. Little did we know that we'd be having some delicious food. I got the French dip. I've been looking for a place in southeast Connecticut that had a good French dip and haven't been able to find one. Well, this one has great cuts of beef, and the au jus sauce was divine. I think they soaked the inside of the hoagie with the sauce yet browned the crust so it was still crunchy. The fries were nice and thick yet super crunchy. For me it was A+. My wife got poutine. The cheese gushed with gooeyness and was melted vice curds which was actually a nice addition. The gravy was a chicken stock that was thick and a nice balance to the crisp fries. Very delicious. If you're looking for a nice restaurant for lunch or dinner I highly recommend it.
