We had a wonderful good server named Taylor that made our experience very good. She was very accommodating and super sweet! The food was delicious, served quickly and fresh and hot! Taylor made our visit a very good one! Parking: No problems
Absolutely amazing. Food was incredible, phenomenal selection of whiskey, great service. It hits all the marks. A great experience overall. Update. I came back to dig deeper into their scotch selection. Had the owner himself make some suggestions for what what I was looking for. He nailed it! And they have live music on Sundays! I can't say enough about this place.
I went here for the first time the other night with my boyfriend, and we had a lovely time. I had never been to a “British Themed Pub” and was pleasantly surprised how good the food was! Overall I totally recommend this place for your next night out.Food: 5/5
The Burns Pub transports you to Great Britain where the atmosphere is warm, the drinks are delicious, and food is on point. We enjoyed a variety of Scottish gins who knew?? The refreshing and tart Sloe Gin Fizz is a hard drink to find in regular bars, but this place nailed it. The food was fresh, delicious, and quickly served. We enjoyed the perfect Scotch egg, cheeseburger, chips thick cut fries with ale cheese, sticky toffee pudding and lava cake. The bartender was attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable about their huge selection of spirits, and all the staff were pleasant and friendly, which definitely added to the "small village" vibe. Our new favorite haunt for sure!
Went by myself to grab a quick bite on a Saturday afternoon. Very slow service... I am in the hospitality industry so I get it! What I don't understand is why there are several employees standing around & no one could bring me water? The two bartenders that I had eye contact with could have offered me water as well! I had a happy hour beer & burger. Burger got dropped off & she didn't ask if I needed anything else before she quickly walked away. I than realized I needed ketchup & mustard. I walked to the bar and asked for ketchup & mustard...the bartender said "there is ketchup on the table" which there wasn't any on my table. Not that polite or helpful. I ate most of the burger but there were salt flakes in it that made it extremely salty so I did not finish it. Server came back & I told her the burger was very salty. She offered to take it off the check & I said no I will pay, I did eat most of it. As I was walking out the door a few employees were standing in the dining room by the door and one guy said "don't you have any friends?" What?? Really?? This is the second time I have dined there alone and was treated poorly. Where is the hospitality? I travel a lot for work so I dine alone a lot and this has never happened to me before. I have been there a few other times for the Reuben, shepherd's pie, fish & chips but will not be back. Be kind. Do better.
Great food, great atmosphere! We had the shepherds pie and the reuben, and I would definitely recommend both of them. They had live music when we were there and it was so much fun! Excellent selection of drinks, especially if you're fond of whiskey. We will definitely back!
Great foods, cozy atmosphere and friendly service. It worths to wait for 30 min to be seated at weekend. I hope they have 4 Noses brewing beer just two blocks away to pair their delicious dishes.
It's good. The closest you'll get to British style food not quite 100% but I understand. They even labelled the shepherds pie correctly a shepherd herds sheep, therefore it's filled with lamb! Atmosphere and service are great though! Now they need to add sausage rolls :
I really like this place, the shepards pie is tasty and the 2nd time I visited I decided to go for the Wellington. Unfortunately it was meh. First, the asparagus was complete mush and tasted as if it were boiled for 2 hours with no seasoning. The potaotes were outstanding, however the Wellington was only "okay" at best mostly because there was no duxelle! So it had minimal flavor. The beef itself was cooked good though. Ill come back but next time for pies. The sad Wellington is the only reason I am deducting stars considering how much they charged for it.
I love The Burns Pub. My go-to after spending the morning hiking in the mountains. Or if I have friends/family visiting, I’ll make the drive from Brighton. It’s a small family-owned business and they do a wonderful job. Exactly the kind of business you WANT to support. Pictured here is the Scotch Egg, and the Fish & Chips. Both dishes were fantastic, perfectly cooked, and delicious. So is pretty much everything else on the menu. Last time I was there, a middle aged couple sat at the table next to me. I noticed the guy ordered the same things I did. Eventually i finished and was heading back to my car, the guy was outside having a smoke. He stopped me and asked about the dessert I ordered sticky toffee pudding, by the way, and it’s incredible. After I told him, he said he’ll recommend it to his wife. He noticed I was there but didn’t order a drink, so he figured “this guy must be here for the food” and purposely ordered whatever I ordered he thanked me because he loved his lunch, I told him “you really can’t go wrong with anything on this menu” and it’s true.
