We were traveling from out of state for a hockey tournament. One of the parents in our group suggested Maumee Bay Brewing Company, and it didn't disappoint. We were a large group and Maumee Bay was incredibly accommodating. We had made reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. Upstairs there was a great seating area for our group and the serving staff was fantastic. Drink orders were taken quickly, and even with the size of our group the food was served out at the same time. Pitchers of water were made available for the tables as well. The meal was great, not a complaint from the group, and we highly recommend the pickle bread and giant pretzel appetizers. We will certainly visit again when back in the area.
We couldn't have picked a better place to eat when we stayed in Toledo! The ambiance inside of this historical building was amazing, our server was extremely kind, and the food wasn't only DELICIOUS but you get huge portions! Some of the draft beer was room-temp during our visit, but refrigeration issues happen sometimes. The flavor was still there! Will definitely come back every time we're in the area!
Still one of my favorite local places. Great food & good beer. The staff is always nice. Definitely try to call ahead to get seats on the weekends or when events going on, this place fills up! The pretzel app is a go to! And my favorite burger is the PB & J with cream cheese & bacon.. for those who are skeptical.. I promise you, it is yummy! The combination of all ingredients is phenomenal. Give it a try =
A nice quiet low key dinner spot. The atmosphere is relaxing. The food and drinks are good. They have a wide variety of beers to choose from. The brussel sprouts are amazing! I tried the chicken and waffles and although I wasn't the biggest fan, I'd still recommend trying them. I prefer a white meat chicken tender for my waffles, but others might really enjoy it. It does look amazing on the plate. The servers are always very polite, helpful, and prompt. Wheelchair accessibility: They have an elevator for upstairs seating.
This place is just a great place to grab a beer. We stopped in during our travels and it was amazing. The lady at the desk answered all of our questions and we went upstairs and Terrence delivered some of the best customer service and delicious beers we've had. 10/10 will enjoy beers here again.
Great Burgers. Having lunch in a reportedly haunted location... yep, that is vacation for us. P.S. Get the pub chips, you won't regret it. Loved it, will be back. Full review and video on our blog site.
This place was fantastic. Amazing beer and great food. Their soft pretzel with bier cheese was very good. It’s huge though. There were so many things on the menu I wanted to try, but I finally settled on the brussel sprout salad and chicken pecan salad sandwich. My kids got the grilled cheese with fries and the peanut butter and jelly sandwich with fries. I didn’t see a kids menu on their website, so I was glad they had one when I arrived. My wife and I also tried two of the beers. The total eclipse breakfast stout and tiramisu brown ale were great. Can’t wait to go back to this brewery.
Giant pretzel was really good and pretty big. The Ruben sandwich was pretty good as well. The chicken was okay, maybe a little dry. However, my rating comes from the fact that it was just chaotic in the dining area. Kids screaming and running around everywhere. Staff seemed exhausted, which is understandable since it was very loud in there. It looked and felt like we were sitting in a factory, but with kids running around.
Beer and staff were great as well as the unique old building. Food wasn’t really the highlight of the visit. Ordered the burger medium and it was pretty much well done and not sure how “fresh” the patty’s were, might have been frozen. The waffle fries were Luke warm and some weren’t cooked enough.
Excellent salads, salmon, and very solid burgers. Giant pretzel is great app to go with respectable beer. Historic building with hip yet classic vibe. Definitely recommended. 5/5
