CCRIHC exists to ensure that all refugees and others new to Canada receive the healthcare they require equitably, unstintingly, and without judgement.
The Centre is dedicated to providing the best possible healthcare to uninsured refugees and immigrants in Canada. The challenges posed by denial of healthcare eligibility can be daunting, particularly the finical challenges. Access barriers still exist beyond the Centre. We cannot provide for all healthcare needs. As you will read here, tests and procedures, specialists and hospital care are expensive. As a charitable organization with some funding from donors and a government grant, we are limited in what our funds can cover.
The Centre provides free frontline healthcare to medically uninsured Canadian immigrants and refugees. WE ARE A VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION of nurses, family doctors, midwives and others.
The Centre does not have funds to cover any hospital care or medications. We have some funds for basic lab tests, but this funding is limited. We rely on donations to help with operations and expenses.
The Centre has STRICT hours of patient care operation that MUST be followed. PLEASE RESPECT THE CLINIC RULES.
