Just received my order from them- the whole process was far quicker than I had anticipated and my order was placed and delivered in less than a month! The quality and finish of the kilt I had orders is fantastic, and I'm very happy with how everything looks and fits! I would absolutely recommend!
I have ordered from here many times and been very pleased. This time however, not so much. Ordered a clan pin, which is a special order, on November 7th. Supposed to take up to 12 weeks. Now at 18 weeks, not even shipped yet. I have sent 3 emails, 1 text, and 1 phone call in the last 4 weeks asking for an update, anything. With absolutely no response.
The worst experience ever. Whenever there is an issue, I receive an email from someone in a different department. When the order was placed, I made them aware I had a time crunch; then, I was told they were unaware of it. A partial order was sent in February, then the rest of the order was sent in March, but instead of sending it to my home address, the remaining partial order was sent to the hotel where I was staying in February. Despite two phone calls and additional emails, absolutely no response. Sad, sad, sad.
I wanted to wait till my order was done before placing my review. At the end of July I placed an order for a custom Hybrid kilt. Custom being it had my family clan tartan. After a horrible experience with another kilt store in MInnesota I was glad to find the Celtic Croft I met with Lorie the owner and she was very welcoming as I am a first responder. I normally conceal and carry and she had no issue with that. When it was time to measure she me remove my gun and she did her thing. In October I received my kilt. I knew it was going to take a little bit. But it did take longer then was thought. I am very happy with the quality. I even purchased a belt and Sgian Dubh. Both were of good quality. They have a very nice and clean showroom and they have a nice range of Scottish products including jewelry and food. I will recommend them and visit again in the future.
Wonderful quality! Excellent attention to detail. His kilt received a number of compliments. A miscommunication caused an unexpected delay in my order. The customer service department Kaurina in particular went above and beyond to get us our kilt in time for the wedding. As a custom made garment it takes about a month to arrive in the USA. !!REMEMBER TO MEASURE CORRECTLY!! Use a fabric measuring tape. Kilts fit totally different than pants my husband wears a 32 pant but his kilt size is 35, and even that is quite snug at the belly/hips. I highly recommend The Celtic Croft.

While on vacation in October I purchased some items from their lovely shop. When I walked out of the shop, I accidentally left a small item behind, which I didn't discover until returning home. I contacted them, they located the item quickly, and shipped it to me. Not only is the shop beautiful, but the wonderful people there will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. 5 Stars is not enough.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. All the kilts and accessories were of high quality and the mailing process went smoothly. As the groom, I received numerous compliments as all the groomsmen.
After almost 4 months, my order STILL isn't right.... I ordered a canvas utility kilt from Celtic Croft in May. It arrived very promptly, in about 4 weeks- but it was the wrong style and a full inch+ shorte than ordered. This was mid June. I spoke to Kaurina, the manager/ owner?, and was assured that the correct product and size would be ordered, and a priority rush for production. 4 weeks later- nothing. Called Kaurina again, and am told she hasn't heard from no answers to phone or email messages in over a month. He's dropped off the face of the planet- but she's still receiving occasional shipmets from him. Afew more weeks go by, call again. They had to re submit my order the first week of August- so it hadn't even been in the que for 10+ weeks. Once it was actually ordered, it arrived in a couple weeks- very promptly. Unfortunately, the kilt maker apparently cannot read a tape measure to save his life- this one, while the right product, is over 2 inches too long. I immediately emailed Kaurina- and silence for over 10 days. Nothing, no response. As an aside, Steve, the guy who answers the phone, has no information, no product knowledge, and no ability to make a decision. Hes an answering service. He also is quick to lose his temper when faced with problems that exceed his ability to address.... Ive NEVER had a service rep scream, literally at the top of his voice, at me over the phone.... Summation- the kilt I finally received is of decent quality and materials at the price point. Its fully knife pleated, and well sewn. The service I've received is completely sub par. No excuse for a seller to offer products from a single source maker she can't even communicate with. No excuse not to have more than one production source. No excuse for the maker to screw up the measurements twice. No excuse for the owner not to respond to being informed of the second error... So, 2 stars for the quality of the product, 0 stars for service and buying experience....
