Our vision is a campus where all students are civically engaged and committed to social action. We strive to reach this vision by providing leadership and educational opportunities for students focused on service.
The Center for Community Engaged Learning, created in 2005 largely in response to growing student interest in service, has grown from a staff of one professional focused solely on volunteerism to a staff of three employees and a student staff of more than 25 who support curricular and co-curricular community engagement. Student leadership is at the core of the Center's management with students coordinating the majority of the initiatives with the guidance of professional staff. The Center's fundamental purpose is to engage and empower students to be active citizens. Like this page to learn about all of our events and initiatives and find out how to get involved.
The Chandler Center develops a culture of active citizenship on campus by creating involvement, leadership, and educational experiences focused on civic engagement.
