Saw Mrs Harris Goes to Paris. Lovely movie. There are no refills on popcorn or drinks. It was hot at times waiting for the AC to kick on. Seats are ample for an old theater. Has lots of ol’ time charm and nice people.
We came for the matinee of No Time to Die. For $30 we got tickets, drinks and popcorn. The atmosphere of this 100 year old theatre was great. The staff were very nice and helpful. As added bonus they were doing a vaccine in not day which was great the first Minnie compromised folks that got to come out, enjoy a movie, and not have to worry. We will def come back the next time in Belfast.
Such a magical place! Saw a film in the beautiful Dreamland theatre, in the basement of the movie theatre. Definitely worth a visit for the ambience, history, and great service!
What a nice bit nostalgia and in really nice condition, too! The seats were very comfortable and, believe it or not , the floors were clean and not sticky! The concession stand was well attended and the popcorn was actually fresh and tasty. The movie sound was really excellent and picture was crisp and clear. Prices were excellent. My wife is already planning our next visit while Jurassic Park is still playing. I certainly hope new owners will continue to respect this old place and keeps it functioning as part of the Belfast community.
Just went here to see The Avengers:End game.....we sat up in the balcony seats. The theatre is cozy and comfortable. ...although I wished the seats were a little more comfy. ...but after watching a 3 hour movie, I doubt if any seat would be comfy enuff. For a historic establishment, I really love looking around at all the historic pictures and info they have hanging in the refreshment area. I had never been to a movie theater in such an historic building like that...versus all the new modern movie theaters. I look forward to visiting again....and hopefully see other artifacts I didn't see this time, while waiting for the movie to start.
The theater is magical! We saw Thor. I have always loved this place. But today it was quite warm in there. N I don't remember the seats being so small. I was very warm n uncomfortable threw out the movie. We went to the 330pm showing. Very nice people tho.
Historic Movie Theater - For Sale
A wonderful old time theater with great movie posters! Great watching Venom and No Time to Die on the Big screen!
Historic theater showing modern movies! $5 matinees, well-priced evening showings as well. Definitely a great activity to do for a rainy day or to catch the latest releases.
Great people, cute movie theater, but I don't feel safe, given that there are no Covid protections in place. I was the only one wearing a mask in the theater the other night. I think it's upsetting that small businesses aren't getting protection from the state to impose masks. But it's equally upsetting that I can't support small businesses without feeling my health is compromised. Very sad. Hope I can come back in the future.
