The Contemporaries is a group of contemporary art enthusiasts dedicated to increasing engagement with Museum of Fine Art’s diverse programming.
What are The Contemporaries?
The Contemporaries was formed to build engagement among Tampa Bay area art enthusiasts with the Museum of Fine Art’s diverse programming, focusing on supporting contemporary artists and exhibitions. The educational meets the social at The Contemporaries’ events, which include visits to artists’ studios and collectors’ homes; trips to contemporary institutions; a lively conversation series focused on local artists; and other fundraising events.
What is the cost?
The Contemporaries membership fee is $20, on top of the Museum’s regular membership level of $60.
What are the membership benefits?
Individual Memberships include free admission to the Museum and all Southeastern reciprocal museums; 10% discount at the Museum Store; 10% discount at the MFA Café; one-year subscription to MOSAIC, the members’ quarterly magazine; Invitations to previews of new exhibitions and advance announcements of concerts, lectures, and educational programs; discounts on events, studio art classes, workshops and lectures; volunteer opportunities in Museum programs and projects; and use of the Museum’s art reference library.
Added to those benefits are invitations to exclusive events of The Contemporaries and private tours of contemporary exhibitions at the Museum.
