This is a very nice looking place but the staff are not professional and it takes forever to get what your order. There was an ant inside the bakery display. Very disgusting please stay away from this place
I gave this place a second chance and they still failed. My first experience was poor. I visited in the morning before heading to work. Ordered a breakfast sandwich to go and waited half an hour before asking how much longer it would take. The young lady at the counter gave me an attitude and informed me the kitchen was running behind. I asked for them to cancel my order as i was going to be late to work and could not wait any longer. They refused and offered me a muffin. My second experience was even worse. I visited with my husband for a sit down breakfast. Ordered eggs with bacon and fruit. My eggs where cold, my apples in my fruit salad where brown and they forgot to bring my husbands cappuccino to the table twice, even after we reminded them. I would have understood a little more if they had been busy but there where only 3 other customers in the entire place at the time. Will not revisit or recommend.
Honestly I have only ever been in one location for this chain and only the once. I went into the location in Garden City and was kind of excited by a seasonal item they had advertised on several promotional posting inside and outside of the location. It was fairly dead inside but it was in the early evening so I did not think too much of it. Honestly I have never seen anywhere in Garden City that dead. I went to order the dish that had brought me in and they did not have it at all the girl working the counter told me. I ordered something else which I would later be underwhelmed by and was of so-so quality. As I waited for the food come out though I went to select a seat amongst the bevy of options given CBC's ghost town status. Many of the tables were dirty and the floor between me and my eventual selection was sticky in parts. Honestly the service was not unpleasant aside from maybe the curt nature in which I was informed the item I wanted was unavailable. The whole place came off as a dirty and poorly done rip-off of Panera. Not sure if this place was once nice or if other locations are better; however there are much better options in Garden City no matter what you are looking for.
Wonderful atmosphere, I love their steakhouse rye bread and their tuna is so delicious. They have a wonderful, roomy meeting room available to the public to reserve that affords privacy for both personal and business functions. The staff is friendly and extremely accommodating. Pastry is out of this world. I often have soda, but I also enjoy their chai.
My friend and I went to the Corner Bakery Cafe on Route 2 in Warwick, RI near Smokey Bones last night and had such an outstanding meal we decided to take our co-workers to the local one at Garden City. I can't say the service was too bad because it was close to lunchtime, but the same meal we had the night before was a tasteless, awful mess. I paid $1.00 for two small slivers of avocado, the Asian Edamame salad had absolutely no flavor, the Toasted Sesame Kale Salad taste like the kale was rotten and the small bread they gave was so salty that we could not eat it. The other meals in our party were terrible also. The soup was very salty and a turkey sandwich had burnt bacon. It is really too bad that we had such an incredible experience at one CBC and the other was so bad. We will not go back to that location in Garden City.
Arrived at 8:05 pm, left at 8:35pm!!! Stood behind 2 women for 5 minutes, 2 people behind the counter. The one taking the orders waited on the 2 women, then walked away for 5 minutes, never saying anything to me like I'll be right with you,and the other person was sweeping and washing the floor behind the counter thought that was against Health Department standards!!! A third worker was washing the floor in the main part of the restaurant. The first girl returned to the counter and asked if I was all set, I replied yes. I placed my order, 3 coffees and a dessert. I was handed a cup for 1 of the coffees. As I was filling the coffee I realized it wasn't that hot coming out of the urn, so I went to the counter to let them know, and the girl that was washing the floor was the one making the cappuccino and the Americana, so I told her and she said that the coffee in the urn was just made, and I said it wasn't that hot I put my finger under the spout when I was pouring it. So I asked if they could heat it up, she had an attitude, and asked me how long, I stated 50 seconds. I then asked if there was a manager on, she stated that she was. Also as this is going on, I'm getting smirks by the other 2 employees. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!! Now I'm handed my other coffees, and I said I asked for a tray, she said SORRY I didn't see here that you wanted a tray. Now I go over to fix my coffee, I take the cover off the Americana and it looks like brown water, I go back to the counter and tell the manager, and she states 3 times, I followed the directions, 2 shots expression with hot water. I asked her could she put another shot of espresso, which she did , but it didn't make a difference. I ended up getting coffee out of the urn, which also wasn't hot. And just to let you know, this took place on my supper break, which I was docked 20 minutes, for being late. I stated several times to the employees, I have to get back to work. I was very dissatisfied with the service and the way this staff treats there customers. I would appreciate someone getting back to me. Thank you.
Food was good however the girl on the cashier did not say anything. No greeting, no smile. Felt very awkward and thought that was rude. I feel like the employees should be more welcoming and friendly. Meg was nice.
First time Yesterday. had uptown turkey avocado sandwich. Absolutely delicious. Help very helpful and pleasant. Service great. Will return again.
Horribly, discued....I go here all the time to get there oatmeal, got it then tasked it and it was awful. It tasked like they dumped a bucket of dexstros fake salt in there and butter milk. It was super buttry tasking. We called the girl over asked what was in it and she said WATER. Asked again and said "No just water I made it myself" then we said did you but sait in it and shes like oh yes I did and I did the correct amount. For one thing why put salt in oatmeal then LIE to me saying no just water, what about someone that had a heart, or a salt problem and they go and think they are doing good by eatting oatmeal. What if someone dies from a high blood pressure because of all the "salt" they out inside the oatmeal. And if it was dexstros- and fake salt they are also trying to kill us because all the fake stuff gives people cancer. We asked the manager and she said water, then asked is there salt, got no answer. They were both with holding information about what goes into there oatmeal, that is not right and what to find someone to report them. WE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW HOW THEY MAKE OUT FOOD. Never going here again.
Very big and comforting restaurant. Food comes hot and little wait time.
