The craft of The Cunning Crow Apothecary, is the cunning craft of the herbs. Also known as Wortcunning, the magic of herbalism. It is an Old English term that translates, loosely, to “the wisdom of herbs.” Wort is an Old English word for plant. Wortcunning is both the name of one who practices herbalism and the practice itself; the herb witch and her craft. A wortcunning is one who can teach the wisdom of the herbs and transmute their healing into practical remedies.
