Well, it's finally official.... Katie and I are kicking off our new business, The Dakota Beef Company. We are selling superior quality, all natural (hormone and antibiotic free), purebred Hereford beef by the half or quarter steer. In partnership with Erik Scott at Section 16 Cattle Co., and a small family owned processor, we are able to bring some of the best tasting beef in the world, custom ordered, to SE Georgia and N Florida at a very competitive price. Most of the beef you buy today from our local supermarket is processed by a large corporation and sourced from a huge feedlot. Cattle raised in a feedlot spend minimal time in a pasture, are given a mixed amount of unnatural
by-products in their feed, and pumped full of antibiotics and hormones.

Our purebred Hereford beef is sourced from Southeast South Dakota, from select small family farms, raised from birth on open pastures, grown naturally the way cattle were meant to be, and finished on pure corn to give the perfect amount of marbling to the steaks. We have a partnership with a local, family owned quality USDA beef processor in South Dakota. We will help walk you through a custom order, so you get the perfect cuts of steak, roasts and ground beef that you desire. Your order will be available locally for pick up.
