The Dance Dept. is a studio that provides quality dance instruction for North Central KS. Dance Instructor is Sabrina Boyd
Jessica Polzella was raised in Abilene, and graduated from AHS. She has had a love for dance since her parents put her in ballet classes at the age of four. Upon moving to Kansas, it was difficult to find quality instruction in this area, so her parents drove her up to five times a week to Wichita in order that she could receive high quality ballet training. Since then, she has danced with the KSU dance department, Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre, and Second Act Dance Company, of Arizona.
Jessica holds a bachelors degree from Wichita State University, and continued her dance teaching education in Toronto, Canada at Canada’s National Ballet School. She then went on to study with the Royal Acadamy of Dance in London via telecourse. Jessica teaches an Royal Acadamy of Danced based program, which insures that dancers are safe and the movement is developmentally age appropriate.
Students can expect the finest in dance education and fundamentals. Jessica is a certified Barre Fitness instructor and trainer, and her specialties include child pedagogy and kineseology. She has a passion for dance, music, and any kind of art. Jessica spends her free time pursuing various musical endeavors and spending time with her family.
