The Dance Shoppe has been training dancers and gymnasts for over 30 years. We offer classes in tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, gymnastics, and cheerleading.
The Dance Shoppe opened its doors for the first time on September 7, 1982. Since then thousands of dance and gymnastic students have been trained and now many of their children are being educated at the Dance Shoppe. Founded by Marti Sallee of Louisville, KY, a "family" atmosphere is clearly apparent at the studio, whether it is in a class, a recital, or even a phone conversation. Students as well as parents feel special because they are important to future of The Dance Shoppe. More apparent is the quality of instruction, discipline, and professionalism inside the Dance Shoppe doors. Making students feel good about themselves is the overall purpose and goal of the instructors. In the past 30 years many Dance Shoppe students have become performers, entertaining at nursing homes, churches, fairs & festivals, charity events, basketball game halftimes, and parades. As choreographer and director, Marti Sallee along with many of her dancers have raised over $135,000.00 for charities including The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, and The Star Theater Renovation Fund, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and Home of the Innocents. Donating their time while using their talents to entertain others is quite rewarding for the dancers, their parents, families. Dancing becomes a deep and meaningful experience when you can help others along the way. The Dance Shoppe has achieved that goal.
