The Dirty Dog Spa

I wouldn’t recommend taking your pet here just from my experience. I mean overall the actual grooming on my dog was nice, his hair was nicely trimmed and not cut he is a shepherd mix so he has a double coat and is not supposed to be cut, his nails were cut well and he was not sent home with the quick exposed and bleeding has happened to us many times but he did come home with a gash in his back leg!! When I picked him up no one even mentioned it to me. My dog is my child and I would expect to be notified if an accidental cut happened. I contacted the company via email/inquiry form and have not heard back it has been 4 days For that reason I will not be back.

Kamae the groomer Is awesome, she’s gotten to know me and my dog, including my dogs temperament. I have taken my dog here several times and will continue to take her here. I have a part lab/beagle/terrier mix who sheds A LOT. I bring her in every 6-8 weeks depending on the season, and after that the shedding subsides significantly. They treat her well there, and she always comes home smelling great and in the cutest bandannas.

The first two times went well, but the third... I do not know what happen but my dog was traumatized. I got her home and my naturally happy , playful, energetic dog was just not right. She was listless, lethargic, and just plain sad. It took days to cheer her up. I took her somewhere else recently, just going off a gut instinct something wasn't right from the last visit to the spa, and she was shaking and scared. This was a place we had been before we tried out Dirty Dog Spa but I think she was triggered by the atmosphere. She is usually so happy to meet people but was trying to hide behind me. When they came up to her to assess her she dropped into a submissive, belly up position and whined. I do not know for sure what happen but I will never take my dog back to this place.

Dirty Dog Spa has been so great taking care of my dog and his grooming needs! He always looks perfect when he’s done and the groomer he sees here is always so great to work with and he’s always happy to see her!! Thank you for talking such great care of Hank!

We have taken our dog here to be groomed about 5 times. After one of the previous groomings she had a hurt tail and was not able to sit down for about 4 days. We were hopeful that it was just a coincidence and we made the mistake of trusting this place to groom our dog again. We just brought our dog in to be groomed yesterday and she now has a hurt tail for a second time. She cannot sit down and whimpers when she tries to lie down. I question the ability and/or patience of the staff here to safely handle dogs. I will not be returning.

Our groomer today Katie was amazing with our small dog Bentley! He’s a rescue dog and gets a little nervous when he goes anywhere he’s not familiar. Katie handeled him with such respect and care it really put me at ease to leave him there! When I picked him up he was calm and comfortable which made me feel even better!!!! Great staff, great prices... highly recommend!!!

Took our dog here today for the first time for grooming. Really disappointed with his cut when I saw him. Very choppy and uneven, especially on his head and chest. He has random spots on his fur that are shaved down and noticeably cut shorter. He smells great, but really disappointed. We paid a good bit of money and expect a lot better service. He has been to a few different groomers in the past because we’ve moved around and this is the first time I’ve seen his haircut this way.
