The Driftwood Lodge on the Gulf

This place is awesome. Super kid friendly as well as adult friendly. The rooms were perfect for what it was...a beachfront hotel. Bathroom was on the small side but was perfect for our family of four. Room service was amazing as well. Super friendly and cleaned our room perfect each day. The view couldn't be beat. 20 steps from the beach. Plenty of parking across the street if need be. Every single employee here was super nice and very knowledgeable. Always was greeted and asked if we needed anything. Much better than any corporate place in town. They have everything you could possibly need. Made friends with the guests, many of whom were repeat of the driftwood for many years I can see why Overall this place was nothing short of amazing. We even extended our stay an extra day. The rooms are a little outdated but are very clean. The location is perfect for everything on the strip. Our service was wonderful if they came to clean our room daily and the grounds were kept immaculatelyRooms: 4/5

I've been coming to the Driftwood for 20 plus years. It's a family owned place sandwiched between high rises. Its right on the gulf of Mexico. One block from fishing pier & Pier Park shopping. There are many restaurants close by, along with Walmart & Target. A great reasonably priced place to stay.Rooms: 5/5

My wife and I recently stayed at the Driftwood Lodge in Panama City Beach flying in from out of state. Their website showed beach chairs in the photos. After checking in we were told they are an "in-season" item. Would have been helpful if the website mentioned this. One of the employees who checked us in later called to offer to rent two of his personal chairs for $100, for three days. at $33 per day! Told him no. Also, I planned to use the 10% discount to Beach Boys Shuttle shown on their website as "Guest Perks". When using this shuttle, the driver called his boss and was told they have never offered this to Driftwood Lodge. I mentioned this to hotel staff and was told it was probably a website design issue. It is now removed from their website. Otherwise the property seemed to be well kept, clean and family orientated.

We came here after checking In at a different hotel earlier that was very unsanitary. I am so glad that we found this gem. The reception at the front desk was amazing and took us to several rooms before we made our reservation. That aline made me live this hotel. The Driftwood was clean, close to the beach, had amazing and kind staff and my husband loved the little TiKi Bar. My little girl loved the toddler pool and splash pad. We plan to come back and stay much longer.

Had a wonderful time chillin at the beach. I would definitely love to spend more time at the gulf of Mexico Walkability: You're close to everything there.. walking distance is not a factor

After having another reservation cancelled at another property and left with no where to stay, we found this property. The rooms are excellent, clean and up to date. 2 pools and a splash pad are great for families and plenty of beach area that isn't crowded at all. Dont forget the pool side tiki bar for food and drink. The staff and owners are extremely friendly and the prices are very reasonable. We will be return customers. Now i am glad the 1st property messed up because WE JUST FOUND OUR NEW VACATION HOME!!!!!
