We DUMPED La-Z-Boy for The Dump and we loved it! We found a similar, better and lower priced couch here at the Dump. Our salesperson Ralph provided extraordinary service. He let us take our time, answered all our questions, gave us feedback on our selection, explained the warranty to us and helped us feel confident in our purchase. My experience at The Dump has been very pleasant and convenient, thanks to Ralph, the salesperson I worked with on my purchase. Bill, who I believe is one of the managers, was also a great deal of help. Extremely knowledgeable about mattresses and he was able to answer all my in depth questions that I had, and to my satisfaction. Thank you, Ralph, and Bill! Now, I’d like to take this opportunity to also comment on the overall policy that The Dump has. This, by no means, changes the wonderful customer service which I received, but I think it is worth noting if you’re in the market for a mattress. Mattress shopping is not quite the same as other furniture shopping, such as sofas, end tables, etc. If you're in the market for a sofa, you can get a very understanding of what to expect by viewing and testing that sofa in store. However, that’s not true with a mattress purchase, as you would need many hours of sleeping on the mattress to really get a good understanding of what you’re purchasing. The fact that you are not able to return an item, if you’re not satisfied with your purchase, is a bit unsettling. No matter how much research you do and questions are answered, there should be a return policy on mattresses because it does take a trial period to really know if it works for you or not. I hope this changes since I had a pleasant experience at The Dump.
Ralph was really great. No one was pushy on purchasing anything. If I said no, he respected it and moved on. We ended up purchasing a great sectional and we can not wait to receive it! Ralph was very clear on when it would be arriving and helping us through the process of purchasing.
I was pleasantly surprised to receive an advertisement from the Dump announcing they had the Peyton Collection for sale. I knew this product from another retailer. So I bought it at the Dump instead. Was easy, pleasant and quick experience.
The Dump store in Lombard has plenty of stock to choose from. The sales associate Mirela made my shopping experience easy and pain free. She was detailed in responding to my questions very nice, helpful and knowledgeable about the items in the store. I purchased a beautiful bedroom set. This being my first time in the store; I will definitely shop there again.
Bought 3 pillows at The Dump. Nothing wrong with the pillows. They were expensive but we were okay with the price, since one was on clearance. However, the pillow on "last chance" clearance was charged at regular price. We did not catch the overcharge until we got home. I tried calling two times. Left a message and also sent a text. All to NO avail. Customer service is terrible. I do not recommend The Dump.
