Local and regional art, great food and Zumba
The Edison Eye Gallery was established in 1988 as a visual arts venue for local Skagit Valley artists. Not long after that, the gallery began attracting artists and patrons throughout the region. Visitors were enamored with the beauty of the surrounding landscape, a mix of farmland and marshes, and charmed by the 100+ year old building. Owner, Dana Rust (1944-2013), was instrumental to the success of the gallery. He welcomed new as well as established artists; curious siteseerers as well as art aficionados. As of 2015, a new gallery called I.e. Art replaced the Edison Eye Gallery. Now renamed The Edison Eye Building & Studio, the business encompasses I. e. Art owned by Margy Lavelle Furst and Tweets Café owned by Charles Atkinson and David Blakesley as well as Zumba Fitness at the Eye and an artist studio owned by Toni Ann Rust, artist and Zumba instructor.
