The Farmhouse

The food was great, the menu changes every day. They have a salad bar now, which is nice if you are choosing to eat a light lunch. Overall I have never been disappointed on any given time I have visited the farmhouse. Parking: Plenty of room to park. Wheelchair accessibility: Standard handicap accessibility.

The food here is great and the prices are easy on the wallet. They have a huge dinner menu. The wait staff are very attentive and friendly. Almost an hour commute for my wife and I, but we've been here several times. Always worth it!Food: 5/5

Unfortunately, I will not rate higher because of their lack of consistency. Some nights the food is good, some nights not-so-good, and every once in a while everything lines up for a great night. I always order the Crab Stew as an appetizer for my wife and I to share. It has always been delicious with the only exception being my most recent visit. It seemed the crab had went off - smelled and tasted rotten to both my wife and me. Nearly made us vomit. They tout their steaks as local, grass-fed beef - no reason to doubt this, but maybe local grass-fed beef is just another way of saying moderately tough and less flavorful. The shrimp is good, sweet wild-caught Georgia shrimp, the only issue is the breading used on the fried shrimp. It normally scratches the roof of my mouth it’s so hard. I’ve eaten here numerous times. I plan to continue.

March 2023 udate, service has gone downhill a little, last 2 times food has been wrong and we are rushed out. Tonight, she asked if we needed boxes as soon as we got our food. I'm not thrilled like we used to be with service. ..Update! I've been going here on the regular, and they never fail. Consistent with the food. Service is spectacular. Zero complaints still! It is an adorable place and a little hard to find. Looks like a country store, but there IS a restaurant. I love the atmosphere here. Different tables, cool light fixtures, and wonderful decor. The hushpuppies with maple syrup and powdered sugar were delicious. We ordered ribeyes with red potatoes loaded....this is how I judge food; if you reach for the salt, it is done wrong. I actually looked at the salt and wondered why it was there. Not needing seasonings is a sign of great food. I feel like this is a 5-star restaurant in casual attire. The 70 dollars we spent on 2 steaks, 4 sides, 2 drinks and all you can eat shut your mouth puppies was less than what I have paid at restaurants in downtown Savanah and The Farmhouse has them tied in my book. The food here is definitely reservation and cloth napkin worthy. Try it out, and drive out of your way to go. You won't be sorry you did. I almost forgot. The best, BEST banana pudding I have ever had, way better than sweet potatoes they are famous for their banana pudding. Just go see for yourself

The burger and fries were great but the acoustics in the dinning room are the worst I've ever experienced. The place was half full and it was like being stuck in a metal room with 200 people yelling at one another. The service was ok but the waitress always had food in her mouth when she came to the table.Food: 4/5

The one thing I'm not crazy about is how loud it can be. The room is designed to allow sound to bounce all over and it is difficult to have a conversation when it's crowded. The food is good and plentiful! Our server for lunch seemed distracted, but we all got what we needed and enjoyed our meals.Food: 4/5

Fantastic meal and top notch service in a cute farmhouse atmosphere. The fried pickles are a must. We got the garbage burger and hamburger steak with the most delicious gravy. Fresh ingredients and every bite was super tasty!! Can't wait to come back!Food: 5/5

When we lived in this area five years ago, this was our favorite restaurant. It's changed. Our crab stew was barely even warm, my steak was overcooked and my shrimp were too heavily breaded. Oh, and the grilled broccoli was not edible.Food: 2/5

They don't have much, but sometimes simpler is better. As they say, the devil's in the details. I got the dark meat fried chicken with mac & cheese, coleslaw, and a biscuit. The fried chicken was fresh, crispy and very juicy. The coleslaw was finely chopped and very tasty. The mac and cheese reminded me of the kind you would get at a church potluck dinner. In conclusion, if you're looking for a delicious home cooked meal this is the place tolbe. they know how to make some good food here and you won't go wrong with anything on the menu. As the kids say, "its bussin fr fr ong."

1st time and it wont be my last. Shrimp n grits on point. Fried oysters on point. Shrimp n steak good but not the best. All was freshly prepared. Took an 1 hour to get the food which is why I couldn't give 5 stars.
