A very large sign in front of the store claims “Next Day Repairs”. Not true! We brought in our EBike with a flat tire on Monday. Was told it couldn’t be touched until Thursday & only repair bikes sold in their store. We understand this is a busy time of year, but the repair person just didn’t want the job or our business. .But they do need to remove their false advertising sign. We are done with The Fitness Store. Bad attitude! The customer service person did apologize for this lack of care & concern.
BUYER BEWARE! THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS! Took just shy of $600 from me for 4 months, then emailed to say my my order is in but it's now going to cost another $150 25% more. BEEN ALMOST ONE MONTH SINCE MY ORDER WAS CANCELLED AND STILL NO REFUND!!! Filed a complaint for price gouging and fraud report with my bank to get my money back!!! Owner doesn't care. Will not respond to emails or calls.
I went to have a bike fixed and was told the bike would cost me over $300 to fix and I should throw mine in the dumpster. It was an older trek bike, and no offense was taken but I thought a better price could be negotiated. The store itself was very nice inside and had a lot to offer with reasonable prices on the bikes and equipment. That's the important part. I'd buy a bike from them but will not ask for insight on fixing one.
The Fitness Store continues to be my place of choice for all my biking needs. I'm still riding my Marin that I bought there about a decade ago. Recently, I brought it in for some much-needed attention and I was amazed at how quickly it was ready! That bike, and the Jamis Komodo I bought there allow me to ride all year. I'm appreciative of John for running a quality business and I highly recommend The Fitness Store.
Went in looking for an elliptical he has plenty to choose from. I even talked about exchanging my treadmill for one and they were up for that as well. This is the place that you're looking for some exercise equipment he definitely has great prices and a lot to choose from give them a try.
The Fitness Store is our go-to place for fitness equipment, as they service what they sell. They even made a house call to fix an elliptical we didn’t purchase from them. Great selection of equipment to test in-store, really knowledgeable and friendly staff, and very competitive pricing. Glad to be able to shop local!
Placed an order over 9 months ago with an estimated 2-3 month wait time. When inquiring about the status of the order and what the situation was, instead of receiving a response my order was refunded with no reply from the company. Essentially just provided them with an interest free loan as many others have done. Company has been operating as a pyramid scheme taking advantage of this pandemic by accepting orders, then refunding previous orders once a new flood of orders come in, all the while praising us for our patience and support of small business. I don’t think a company that has made hundreds of thousands during this pandemic can really put themselves in the same boat as struggling small businesses at this point and this is a shameful exploitation of hardworking Americans to rob them of their money.
Used to be the place to go in Manitowoc for bikes, but the service is poor at best since they moved out to Dewey Street. Brought a bike in to get investigated by the manufacturer and took them over 3 weeks and they never produced a result. Brought it to a different shop and the issue was solved the same day. Perhaps they think they are too good to provide quality service to their customers anymore and their lack of hours seem to reflect that.
Just went to return a U-Haul. Nobody was there and used the drop box
