The Flintridge Proper

It had been many moons since I last visited this fine dining establishment in La Canada. At first I may have been a little deterred to find it almost impossible to sit at the bar. However I was pleasantly surprised to sit at the dessert and coffee station. It is there you can truly appreciate the hard work it takes for an arsenal of employees to tend the high service level required in such a posh locale. Big props to Ernesto and Daisy! Their service and personality elevates this restaurant to another level. Extra props for the dirty knife catch, the quick water refill and the keen observation to all the details necessary to keeping this restaurant moving and functioning like a well oiled machine. Keep doing what your doing because you've convinced this picky guy to come back for more! P.s. whomever made the black Manhattans. . .Amber . . ..extra kudos ! They are working hard to make this restaurant what it is! 5stars and highly recommend! Get there or be square!

Honestly saw the establishment and decided hey this is worth a try. I ended up ordering a draft beer but the cocktails here are incredibly amazing. The service here also is amazing and the bartender is awesome. Let us know about things around also great in conversation and knowledgeable. The food even though it wasn't that time of day when we arrived was great for happy hour time. Honestly one of my favorite places to go for a drink and to have a relaxed time with friends. Will be back soon to try many of the cocktails and more of the draft beer selection.

We had a lunch here and ordered Proper Burger and turkey and avocado sandwich. The foods were all great and especially, I recommend the Proper burger. The meat is thick and juicy. Above all that, the place is great so if you have a friend, its a great place for hang out.

Great drinks!! The reservation system is a bit silly. They want reservations but don't answer the phone. Liked the happy hour at the bar.Food: 4/5

Great service and great food. Wonderful place for date nights. Parking isn’t the greatest. If you plan on drinking, it’s best to get a ride anyway. Definitely suggest the baked brie appetizer. I’m happy to go there any day of the week. Easily one of the gems in La Cañada.

Elegant beautiful interior, really like the bookshelves around the dinning area, very cozy and got that old time charm. Have dinner during DineLA week, it was a great deal for three course meal. Definitely will come back for a drink at their bar, look and feel very welcoming. Thumbs up!

Service is polite and attentive. Parking is plentiful and convenient. Food is below average. The fried chicken was very dry and did not taste at all of truffle. The bar plays some sports and the decor is cute. Space was clean.

Great food and drink selection. Love all the various gin drinks, especially the Flintridge Lady. Service was a bit slow, but they were very busy and very kind about it. Will absolutely be returning!

Lovely atmosphere, especially shortly before the lunch rush. The drinks were superb and the food even better. Our server, Dustin, was the height of attentive and an absolute delight. I look forward to coming here again

Delicious food, great homey atmosphere. Seriously check out the photos. Wonderful date night location. We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary here and everything was perfect.
