The Garland Lee Thompson, Sr. Readers’ Theatre of New Works
at the 2017 National Black Theatre Festival
Approximately 25-30 original works written
by renowned and aspiring playwrights are
showcased. Professional actors will read for
an audience of theatre professionals, scholars
and the general public. The first component,
New Plays at High Noon, begins Tuesday,
August 4 at 11:30 am. The original component
of the series, Theatre Conversations at Midnight
begins later that evening at 11:30 pm. Seating is
limited at midnight readings.
