I like the Gateway for the Children’s Museum, Clark Planetarium, Wiseguys, and its location next to the Delta Center. The festivals held here are also nice. Bathrooms are hard to find, so watch out! It still hasn’t fully recovered since City Creek came in, so hoping in the future more businesses can open here.
We went to the St. Patrick's Day parade at the Gateway mall. We had no idea the parade was so huge. It was fun to see all the different costumes and watch the parade. Mark your calendars for next year! Park underground at the Gateway and bring chairs!
Super fun place to visit! So many cool Stores and things to do. It was a little quiet. Not a lot of people. There is fountains and a cute little candy store. There is hotels and the Planetarium along with some restaurants and the Dave & Busters arcade with s restaurant in it! Overall my family loved it!
The Gateway is a unique outside area for dining, entertainment, shopping, and community events. It’s located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City and was a short walk from the convention center. I was at a conference and the only time I had to explore the city was on a Sunday. I quickly learned that most of the stores and restaurants are closed on Sundays due to a state law from the 1800s. However I was able to find 2 open stores so it wasn’t a total bust. This place looks like it would be really fun on any other day of the week. Mark this place as a must see when visiting Salt Lake City.
Came here for NYE to see the fireworks. It was pretty crowded had live music and counted down to new years with a 10 minute firework show. They had hot chocolate stands and a few food trucks. It was cold AF that night and I can't believe we waited an hour for tacos lol it was an experience for sure!
I'll be honest, this mall has always been a little dead. The planetarium is a fantastic spot though and there's definitely a few cute restaurants around! Wish it had a few more retail stores but alas.
We enjoyed taking our 6-year old grandson to the Clark Planetarium. Kept us all interested in everything they offered. Educational experience that teaches astronomy and related sciences. No entry fee to enter the Clark Planetarium either!
It's a great place to take ur family or urself or a friend if you like to shop or just hang out and walk around or sit and relax. I like to hang out by the creek its real relaxing. I love the energy the atmosphere the people it's a great place. Its great for takeing some family photos or selfi or scenery. The bathrooms are nice and clean no problems getting wheelchairs through or too there. If u need a place to just sit for a moment they offer a sitting room seperate from the restrooms, also if you have a frind that needs to wait there is a sitting area for them as well. They have a nice glass bridge located on the second floor up located over by forever 21 it makes it nice if you want to cross over and do more shopping or walking its convienat rather than traffic or trax safe for the children. And of course elevators or escolators or stairs to get back and fourth to the top or bottom floors. Security officers on hand helps makeing it safe. Trax makes it real conveniently and easy to get around or they offer under ground parking.
Super fun place for kids basically any age. Went on a Sunday and it was pretty slow there so that was good since my daughter is only 2. She went to every station they had and was loving it. They have a little house with a kitchen and all the appliances, a farm with a life sized horse in a stable and then a mini market with registers to check out. Super cute! My daughter had a blast. Will definitely be back.
The artwork around the mall is delightful! It's one of the main attractions. The zombie statue was tight! Otherwise, many of the shops and restaurants are closed, at 7:30 pm on a Wed. When there is an event at the area next door! I was kind of surprised. However the parking was pretty full, because they let people park in the lot for the jazz game. Overall, had a great time at yoga! It keeps me coming back!
