I think there is a lot of learning potential for children at Goddard but there is also a lot to be desired. There are too many kids in the pre-k classroom. When asking how my daughter was doing the only answer I ever got was “she had a good day.” And the minimal communication only came when we initiated it. Final straw was when one of the teachers lied right to my face. She told me my daughter was sad because it was her last day, which I knew wasn’t true because she hated it there. Come to find out she was sad and crying because she was getting yelled at to be quiet. Paying top tier tuition for a sub par experience and overwhelmed teachers.
We have been using Goddard for the past years. Three kiddos excelled in social skills, knowledge, and overall education. Definitely a great place. As the time for our youngest to attend comes to an end, we know they are ready for the next educational step! Staff was great and the education taught was above the rest. I could name each teacher we used and they were all excellent!!
Luckily, I have seen the results of the hard work, dedication and thorough planning that this Goddard School puts into the everyday schedule they plan for our children. My middle daughter's transition from The Goddard School into kindergarten was so easy it made me grateful for each and every one that had a part of her time there. My third daughter, who just turned 4, is now attending this school and not only is she excited to go to her "school" everyday, she cannot wait to tell me what her favorite center was for the day and sing her favorite song she has learned. Knowing your kids are happy, safe, and learning while having fun when they are away from you is priceless.
My daughter has been in the 1, 2, and 3 year old classrooms at this Goddard school. I have been consistently impressed by the warmth and attentiveness of the teachers. The curriculum teaches positive social skills, emotional skills, and academic skills, and I could not be happier to have my daughter here. I highly recommend this school to anyone!
A few takeaways my wife and I would like to share from our experience with Goddard: 1 We asked about required experience for teachers while visiting Goddard and other schools, Goddard appeared to have higher standards. Based on our experience with our daughter attending Goddard, we agree with our initial impression. 2 Teacher turnover does not appear to be an issue at Goddard. We have heard teacher turnover can be an issue at other schools. 3 Word of mouth, all parents we spoke to with Goddard experience seem to have nothing but great things to say. We echo those positive experiences. ***All comments above are based on our experience at the 115th Terrace in Olathe, KS location.
I've never written a review online, but I did rely on them a great deal when I was searching for a daycare in the Olathe area. I did tour 3 different facilities but immediately felt the Goddard School II was exactly what I wanted for our 2 year old. We are very happy with our experience at the Goddard School II- Olathe. This is a very well ran facility and it is clear that owners, supervisors, and teachers all communicate well with one another. It truly is a very warm, positive environment. I always tell friends and family that I feel 100% secure while our daughter is being cared for at the Goddard School. She loves her teachers and friends. I feel that the organized, comfortable environment promotes learning as well. We love the daily reports that explain exactly what they did- from activities and topics/themes, length of nap, to how much she ate of each food at lunch. It really promotes a seamless transition between school and home. The school also puts on several fun activities throughout the year and offers parents night out every couple of months for additional cost. I would highly recommend this facility to a parent searching in the Northwest Olathe area.
We've had our daughter at The Goddard School since she was about 3 months old. They have been fantastic in every way and we enjoy seeing all the activities and friends she makes along the way.
We have been very pleased with Goddard in Olathe. The entire staff demonstrates such a high level of enthusiasm and professionalism with their approach to childcare. It is very easy to connect with the management staff for any questions or concerns that come up. I see the impact of the school on our little one everyday and am happy to see how eager he is to go to school in the morning during drop off. There is also an active rotation of events throughout the year that lets you get to know the staff and other parents.
