Sorry but not happy with it. Went to adjust a brand new watch titanium bracelet for proper length. I suppose they did not have the proper tools because when I Arrived home the bracelet was scratched and damaged and two of the pins were completely off by one side. Two pins are damaged and do not engage in the bracelet holes and I have to bring it to another shop to repair now hoping there is not any more damage than this. Do not go there  for watch repair it is terrible.

My fav spot… I get all my jewelry here and when I do buy jewelry else where I come back here so he can redesign it.. Carl is the effing man!

Just needed a battery replaced in my watch. Gentleman that waited on me was very personable. Very reasonable

Carl is the best jeweler I have ever known. He truly is an expert in his field. I hope everyone goes to The Gold Spot, Carl is the best of the best. I promise you  that you will go back time after time to The Gold Spot and never be disappointed. Carl is worth his weight in gold!

I gave him the job to redesign my engagement ring into a platinum one. Not only was I charged over $1k for parts and labor, but it came out terrible. The weight of the platinum I was quoted at another place was only $200. I feel so ripped off.

Mr. Carl has been an excellent jeweler & welcoming so I’ve brought several friends to his shop for services they needed! Appreciate his brotherly encouragement to do my stand up again at Tommy Ts& living life fully! Also I appreciate that he served in the United States Military!

Carl is very kind and skillful, it’s so cool to hear him talk about his craft.  He fixed my roommate’s broken jewelry perfectly, and even made some customizations to some jewelry she already had! The jewelry he makes in his shop is art.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !! I ASKED FOR A PRICE TO MAKE A REPAIR AND I THOUGHT IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE , AFTER I ASKED HIM WHY IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE ,  HE GAVE IT BACK TO ME AND TOLD ME TO GO SOMEPLACE ELSE , THEN HE WALKED AWAY

Carl is an Alameda treasure! He handled a vexatious urgent issue with a fast, can-do response and a very reasonable price, far better than the other jewelry shops on Park St.  During the two visits needed to resolve the issue, which is now completely fixed, I saw a stream of satisfied customers stop by to socialize, thank Carl in person, and to start new business.  Carl does custom jewelry, repairs wristwatch batteries, fixes and resizes items you haven't worn in years, buys gold, and is wonderfully conversant about collectable watches, gems, and local sports  My faith in retail humanity is restored. Thank you, Carl, for making Alameda that much better!

Owner very professional,  friendly and helpful.  Fair deals and beautiful jewelry of good quality.  Definitely coming back!
