This spacious and breathtaking "historic home" is perfect for your event.
Our fully furnished 5,000 square foot mansion has 5 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and a half-bath. Three of our bedrooms offer private access to adjacent bathrooms and all rooms offer private flat screen TVs, sitting area, Wi-Fi, and 12 foot ceilings that give our home an elegant, historical feel unlike any modern venue.
The parlor, dining room and one of the living rooms, which we refer to as our museum section, are furnished with antique furniture, grand chandeliers and even a piano for our musically talented guests.
The family room with over-sized leather furniture, poker table, Flat panel TV and all the comforts of home sets directly off of the 500 square foot covered porch overlooking the pool & hot tub.
This beautiful home sits on one acre of meticulously manicured lawn which is canopied by 100 year old Oak trees. Other amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, dining room, living room, two sets of washer and dryer and an over-sized private yard.
If you are cooking for a large group, there is a double oven in the spacious kitchen, and the formal dining room comfortably seats 12 people. Our fully stocked kitchen has ample flatware and cooking accessories for 20 people and a second refrigerator in the utility room for extra food & beverages.
For wedding parties, the home can be easily divided into separate bride and groom quarters. Upstairs we have a luxurious bridal area with a wedding gown fitting stage and comfortable seating. Downstairs in the basement is our "Speakeasy" bar and game room. The groom and his entourage can enjoy relaxing and reminiscing about good times while playing pool, poker and watching sports and enjoying a cocktail at the bar.
The Gonzales Venue is the perfect location if you are looking for a lasting memorable wedding, reception, corporate retreat, reunion, or any special event experience.
I, Chris Kappmeyer grew up in Gonzales, TX and bought this home in 2013 to help provide long term housing for the recent oil and gas boom as well as provide a much needed venue in Gonzales, Texas. My family loves visiting Gonzales as often as we can and we want to welcome others to enjoy all this small historic town has to offer.
