I would have considered giving a three-star review were it not for the fact that I paid $2,600 for a four night, Monday to Friday stay in the first week of October, therefore my expectations were naturally higher. Contrary to other reviews, the room was clean with no signs of bedbugs or anything else concerning. There did appear to be some mold on the bathroom ceiling, likely due to poor ventilation. The room came with all promised amenities and a quality mattress you would expect to find in a decent hotel room. We were able to hook up the PlayStation to the TV. We stayed in the family suite so that the kids could have their space and we could have ours. Sadly, aside from the sectional, the only option for sitting with the hard plastic kitchen chairs. A couple of comfortable chairs in the master bedroom would have been welcome during adult time. The bathroom seemed newly renovated however the bedroom furniture was quite dated. The water park was nice, but it will not entertain children above the age of eight for more than an hour or two. It is a nice amenity to have; however it would not be deciding factor in staying here. Also, the windows in the family suites look out into the water park, so expect to hear the music they are playing open to close. Something to keep in mind if you have thoughts of sleeping in. Overall, not a bad place to stay but not even remotely worth the cost.
Family of four had a great time. Our room had a slider which opened up to a grassy area near which we could park our car which was super convenient. The water park was great of course. Love that the arcade was open 24 hours. Rooms were comfy and the air conditioner was surprisingly easy to manage and control, which oddly enough doesn't happen a lot. My only reason for downgrading from five stars on the room is that the bureaus were quite difficult to open and close and for four people staying in the room We could have used a lot more and larger towels and more hangers but overall it was fantastic.
Very pleasantly surprised at how well run this establishment is. Took my new wife here for our honeymoon because we are still kids at heart and very much enjoyed the water park and pools. Perfect location if you have kids, you'd never have to leave the hotel at all and can keep them busy all day. When we weren't dodging kids or taking up space in the water slide, there are 2 restaurants and 3 locations to pick up food or drinks. Alcohol available at all 3. Pools close at 9pm and the restaurants around 9-10pm. Once that is over, there is a 24/7 arcade, which has surprisingly a lot to do. We spent our late night there, finishing a few drinks and having a great time. Prices of food and the room are relatively high drinks are what you'd expect, however, given how much there is to do I think it's worth it. We didn't have to leave the property once. Of note, the staff of the restaurants are all adults. The lifeguards ranged from older teenagers to young adults. This didn't bother us as we are adults, and shouldn't bother you if you have kids because there isn't a blind spot in the whole park. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They were also vigilant and would blow a whistle when the kids got rowdy. Great experience. Will recommend to my friends and will probably be back in the future.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cape Codder. Very affordable. The lobby is gorgeous! Our check-in was very easy and enjoyable. The staff was very welcoming and informative. Our room was perfect and it was very clean. The furnishing and accommodations are acceptable but are apparently being remodeled this year due to the new ownership that our front desk agent informed us prior to checking in. We really liked the food at the Hearth n Kettle. The portions are enormous and the price is affordable. The pizza and wings are spot on. The greeter and waitress were friendly and went the extra mile to find out that it was our anniversary. I did mention this to the girl at the front desk upon checkin so it was nice to see teamwork in action. I can't tell you how happy I was to find out on my own that this hotel was fantastic. I don't know why the reviews are so unsatisfactory. Maybe the old owners just didn't care. I can tell you that the new ownership does asking us periodically throughout our stay if we were happy. When we checked out, the front desk asked us if The Cape Codder could have done anything better? I replied, " No, we are so happy with everything and can't wait to see what's to come" We will be back! Rooms: Clean and spacious. No musty smell. No mold. Nice smell. Nearby activities: Duncan donuts across the street and a very nice mall to shop nearby. Safety: We needed a room key for all entrances. Very safe. Walkability: This is a one stop shop place to stay! We didnt have to get in the car as it was either at the hotel or within walking distance. Food & drinks: Fish and Chips are amazing!
Hosted a surprise birthday party for my father there in September. Just wanted to compliment the entire sales and banquet staff for their incredible work. Everything went incredibly well, food was excellent as well as the overall service and friendliness of the staff. Particularly want to thank Mike Newton for his help from start to finish. When I was originally researching places to hold the party, I had some bad experiences with other local venues/restaurants and was getting discouraged. Mike was so quick to respond to my initial inquiry and provide me with all of the information I needed that I knew I wanted to go with the Cape Codder. His professionalism and responsiveness were incredible throughout the entire process and I greatly appreciated that.
Kids under 48in tall CAN'T go on the water slides. Even with an adult. The lazy river was fun. Lifeguards are everywhere so it's very safe. The wave pool was not working. It was fun but I will not go again until both my kids are well over 48in tall.Rooms: 3/5
We were there this weekend for one night for my granddaughters Birthday. To say she had a blast is an understatement. The staff is friendly and helpful the room was spotless and very comfortable. We ate all our meals at Hearth an kettle I loved that we never had to leave the Hotel. We will be back next year for her 9th Birthday!!!!!Rooms: 5/5
Great water park for the whole family! The indoor hot tub was closed for unknown reasons. There are many outdoor spaces to enjoy. Hearth n' Kettle restaurant inside has reasonable food. Hotel was clean and quiet.
EXCELLENT! I'd definitely recommend this attraction if you have younger children. Although young teens and adults would enjoy these water rides as well. Employees are super patient and kind. If you are going to visit Cape Cod this is definitely one of the most popular indoor water park places here. Rooms: Very clean and sound resistant Safety: Lifeguard on duty. Exit door very visible. Food & drinks: Yummy foods and tasty drinks for your desires
Great time, wonderful staff, great food and drinks. Hot tub by the pool I think had a bit to much chlorine, but the other water attractions were first rate. Room service will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible.Rooms: 5/5
