I Cannot say enough good things about This place. Everything from the food to the surface with five stars. Our food was served and quickly exactly how he ordered it. Some of the absolute best scallops I have ever put in my mouth. They were absolutely huge. Our seat was in the corner and we were overlooking the boats. Absolutely romantic! Our server was knowledgeable and answered all our questions educating us on ingredients and toppings. It was my birthday and our anniversary and they even surprised with a huge birthday...we were never rushed and treated like VIP Guests. A definite place to put on the list for a repeat visit each vacation year. Parking: Lots of free parky Wheelchair accessibility: They accommodated wheelchairs with ramps and wide areas Dietary restrictions: They were able to custom make anything according to our needs
I started brunch with a mimosa and the she crab soup which was absolutely delicious. But my entree was mediocre. The shrimp and grits had good flavor and the shrimp was cooked perfectly but the grits seemed a bit underdone. Thankfully there was so much on the plate I just ate the shrimp and veggies and left the majority of the mountain of grits. The environment is nice and I enjoyed the views but it was pretty dang sweaty outside and soup was probably not the vibe for the temperature. Overall a nice restaurant and I'd consider going back to try something different.
We were visiting the Panama City Beach area and decided to give this restaurant a try. We were immediately seated by the window facing the marina which was nice. We got the lobster fingers as an appetizer, and for dinner I had the grouper piccata, and hubby had the gulf shrimp creamy pesto pasta. The presentation on every item was excellent and the taste was savory. The lobster fingers were crispy with a creamy honey mustard sauce, a perfect combination of flavors together. The grouper had a lovely crust and a generous portion of spinach and whipped potatoes. The pasta was also very flavorful but could have had a bit more shrimp in it. Our server Alicia was helpful and attentive, even though it was quite busy. The manager also came by our table to ask how our dinner was, which was a nice touch to our evening. Overall, if you are in this area, I highly recommend trying this lovely establishment.
Amazing dinner. A bit of a drive from the Pier Park area but well worth it. Kimberly was an excellent server. She knew the menu and the wine list and made great recommendations. Well done to management. The fish is locally caught. All appetizers, entrées, and desserts were excellent. You can walk out on the dock to view the boats and the bay.
My first dining experience at The Grand Marlin was very nice. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Christopher was great! When he didn’t know an answer to one of my questions, I didn’t expect him to come back with the answer. I would definitely dine here again. Looking forward to adding this restaurant to the list of places to take my family and friends when they visit me from out of town.
Great fresh seafood in a lovely place. A little loud but it is tourist season. First time in we were really impressed. Wonderful oysters on the half followed by fresh scallops and blackened swordfish. Both were delightful! Great brownie dessert with ice cream and berries. All in all, this place is a winner.Food: 5/5
Been twice, once for Fathers Day brunch and later in the week for dinner. Both times great food and service. Atmosphere busy and noisy but that’s acoustics of the building as well as the business of the restaurant. Pics are from the brunch. It’s a must try.Food: 5/5
Our server, Lucy, was excellent! The food was beyond delicious! My sister had parmesan crusted grouper, and my husband and I had fried shrimp. We were all very pleased and stuffed! Highly recommend!!!Food: 5/5
We ate here for an anniversary celebration. They welcomed us and had a special menu printed with our names on it, such a sweet surprise. The food was so good, the service was even better if that is even possible, and the view was fantastic! The she crab soup was fantastic, the sweet corn hushpuppies were yummy, and the whole pompano was cooked to perfection! Thank you for making our celebration special!
This was a very nice ending for our family vacation. It's located right on the bay and you can watch the boats come in and out. The outside of the building is well maintained and has a giant marlin on the side that you'll want to have your picture taken with. Inside it is nicely laid out and very inviting. Dress is casual yet you feel like you're in an upscale business. My wife had the salmon and it was absolutely delicious. My daughter had a cheeseburger since she isn't a fan of seafood. She did try something of everyone's and the appetizers we ordered. My took the server's advise and went with the Fish n Chips. It was OK. I wasn't a fan of the batter and it had taken on quite a bit of grease. I did eat all of fit, but its not something I would order again. We also had the Smoked Fish Dip w/ Crackers. Again, it was OK, but we agreed it wasn't hitting the spot and we were disappointed with it. The Crispy Lobster Fingers were excellent and came with a honey mustard sauce poured directly on the plate. They were 3 for $22. A little pricey for what they were, but they were definitely memorable. My wife and I each had two beers. My daughter, being eleven, had a Virginia daiquiri as well as a Coke. With tip it was $175. I would go again, but would definitely order something different. Their menu is full of many delicious options.
