A man bun carrying iced coffee and a canvas tote filled with kale captures the essence of Grant Park Farmers Market. I once overheard a mom telling her kids to finish their raw organic milk because “milk” wasn’t specific enough. Cynicism aside, this is a great weekend farmer’s market. There’s a nice balance of crafters, produce vendors and food vendors. Iced coffee and kombucha are obtainable. Flowers are super popular during the spring through early fall, and my understanding is if you don’t get to the market early enough, all the flowers will be gone. I’m not really into ornamental plants without roots, but I understand people like them. Across the street, there are a few breweries and restaurants. You could certainly have a decent Sunday Funday starting with the farmer’s market and then heading across the street for food and drink. Parking is along the street. It’s best to park a short distance from the market and walk. The cars vs people situation gets dicey close to the market. Bike racks are across the street in front of the restaurants. There’s been a notable increase in strollers and small children among marketgoers.
When you are a #marketingstrategist life and work blend 24/7. One of my clients @framedeyecareandglasses recently moved to #grantpark. Which means if I visit the #grantparkfarmersmarket on Sunday, it's time to highlight his new neighborhood and the yummy happenings bread from #osonobread the line snakes around several times promptly at 9am. The Grant Park Farmers Market is one of the best with everyone and everything from #spottedtrotter to #caribbeanunited for real Jamaican sorrel to farm fresh produce. And it is organized and well run! Kudos to the GP team and making this market outstanding! Framed Eyecare and Glasses loves it!! For me this kind of work is incredibly rewarding!
My family really enjoyed this market. My husband says it is his favorite of all the ones that we've visited!! It is alongside a nursery of some sort so there is a play area for small children. This market is especially dog friendly. Great variety of produce, cooked foods, drinks, meats, just everything!!
Great market, and the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are heavier on prepared foods and other specialty vendors than produce. My main interest is produce and farm products. However, my favorite bread in the city sells here, Osono get there early they always sell out. I love Caribe United Farm, great meats, affordable eggs, and the best Jamaica Hibiscus Drink I've had! Pearson has my favorite local peaches, and fresh pecans better than anything you get in a store. Little Tart is there, and Spotted Trotter charcuterie. Lots of snacks and coffee, and across the street are several breweries, a Brazilian cafe, Buteco, and an art gallery inside the Beacon. I recommend parking further away, and don't try to park right at the market. Also, no shade at much of this new location so plan accordingly. *Remember it's truly seasonal and local, produce will vary, and is less plentiful in winter.
Arrive around 8:40 to find parking !: The lines for Osono bread the the Tartes get a bit long but worth the wait !
In my opinion the best farmers market in Atlanta, not only do they have a great selection of local vendors the Grand park had so many activities to do and is big to spread and take the whole family, with basketball and tennis court just a close yards . Parking is always plenty if you arrive early. Dog friendly.
Such a lively and quaint market inside of the Park : they’re extremely dog friendly and there is a huge variety of products. It’s about a block in length but the selection is great. From a bakery and natural dog treat vendor to meat and fresh produce to local restaurants cooking onsite, the ambiance here is lively and great for kids and family to be outdoors for a few hours. Check out the honey stand too!! They have awesome combinations including a spicy one!
Small but high quality farmers market with veggies, kombucha, crepes, shawarma, coffee, ice cream, jams and jellies, and more. Street parking only.
If you find yourself in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and hit Grant Park Farmers Market. A popular destination for the locals this market had a bit of everything. GA peaches of course but locally sourced fruits, veggies, honey, fresh juices jams, fresh organic made breads and pastries. This was a wonderful find on this trip.
Pretty small market but nice local vendors. Lived the bread and hot sauce!
