My children had such a good time, very friendly people and lots to do! A day for the family and it was perfect for a day away! Plus just one bonus was learning about dinosaurs and taking pictures of the kiddos next too them all! Lots of people! Awesome rides, fairly priced, cars too get in, but you can use cash for bands or tickets! Lots of cars, you will def be walking so grab ur best sneakers!
Went to the fair twice this year and had a blast! The food was excellent and so were the exhibits. We really enjoyed the pig races, so cute! Also, the dinosaur exhibit was pretty cool, even for the adults.
It was awesome. We came from Massachusetts and enjoyed the variety of things to do. Food was great. Music was great. Nice exposition buildings and shows such as birds of prey, magic show, kitchen show... All great. Well worth the stop.
Absolutely love everything about the fair, besides the crowds, parking and August heat. There's so much to see and do for just $6 admission. I would go there everyday if I could. The dinosaur exhibition was great this year.
We went to the NYS Fairgrounds this afternoon. THE best part of our experience was the Dinosaur attraction! Everything else was a huge disappointment. The sites we normally visited in the past, where we knew where to find them, were no longer there, the African village had only few vendors, the food in the International Building which had it's name changed thus adding to the confusion was very bland and needed salt, the cow barns were empty, as well as the horse barns. We never did get to go into the Center of Progress building.or the other buildings. We parked in the brown lot. We had 2 people with walking issues that had to walk all the way to Gate 4 and the same to return to our car. There were no shuttle buses running from the lots to the gates and to TOP it all off, there were no power chairs to assist these 2 visitors. Not even manual chairs were available. We were very disappointed by the whole day. It definitely needs alot of changes before we return!
It's been so many years since I have been here and it was awesome and packed the whole time. My daughter and I rode rides there were a few that broke down when we wanted to do them but we got to do at least one when it was back up and running. We had a great time and it was nice they had busses to take people from where they were parked to close to the entrance which was nice.
Great day of food, rides and seeing animals. Loved seeing the artwork and quilts too. One of our favorite places to cool off is the Center of Progress Building that has the sand sculpture!
NY State does an AMAZING job with the NYS Fair!! The entire experience was easy and convenient! Park and ride signs off the highway. $2 round trip on the bus dropped right at the door. QR code at the bus stop to buy your tickets. Tons of food vendors, restrooms, entertainment, games and rides. Very spacious and clean! Well done!
Lots of things to do, eat, and see. The shuttle services to get you from parking lots to the fair is fantastic. As you might expect from such a huge fair, there's a ton of traffic coming in, so you'll be doing a lot of stop and go traffic before you're ever even close to the grounds. Especially during the weekends. I attended on Sunday before labor day, almost a week after the fairs had open and it was still insanely busy. Other than that, expect your usual fair staples, machines, cattle, horses, and poultry exhibitions. Petting zoo, animal rides like ponies and camels and a your fair share of advertising companies and army recruits like car, hot tubs, spectrum etc. Oh, I don't know if it changes every year, but I assume it does, but this year there was a dinosaur exhibition event that was pretty dope. Though lot of people kept touching the dinosaurs that had signs not to touch the dinosaurs. ‍
Went to the new York state fair. It took around 30-45 just to park. It was ridiculous, traffic backed up all the way down the high way. We had a blast though. So many different foods to eat. So much stuff to see and do. I got a lobster roll . One of the best lobster rolls I've had in awhile. We went into the butterfly exhibit. We also did all the buildings the dairy barn ect. It is pretty pricey so definitely bring lots of money with you. It was worth the splurge though. Me and my family made lots of unforgettable great memories. Bring quarters with you. They have footies wootsie machines that shake your feet . After walking the fair all day these were a lifesaver for our aching feet.
