Welcome to the famous Hamtramck House!
The house was built in 1999 and remains the tallest house in Hamtramck.
The rooftop deck looks over the downtown Detroit skyline, where you can watch breathtaking fireworks from afar. Through the years we have worked to make the house even more fabulous with rich blue color schemes and beautiful floral blooms.
In 2013, the pond was created and became an instant wonder and source of satisfaction for all who visit it. In 2014 we extended the pond to add even more visual interest. The smaller side of the pond holds two charming aquatic turtles who love swimming and basting on the rock in the sun. The larger side features our rare and colorful koi fish. So now, in 2016, The Mitchell Pond is a truly a sight to see!
If you are traveling to Hamtramck for a Polish dinner, stopping at one of the hundreds of local bars, or just going on a Paczki run, be sure to stop by and enjoy our aquatic oasis…but please don’t feed the fish or throw coins…the koi only take credit cards
