the harts gallery is an artist-run space in rural northwest Connecticut focused on building community and inspiring transformation.
Headed by filmmakers, photographers and activists Carmen Elsa Lopez and Evan Abramson, the harts gallery is an artist-run non-profit organization focused on building community and inspiring transformation through a robust amalgamation of contemporary art exhibitions, workshops and cultural programming. Finding inspiration in Joseph Beuys’ concept of Social Sculpture, the gallery functions as a gathering space where community can form around the common values of creativity, vision, sustainability and collaboration.
