From soothing inconsolable babies with colic to stopping chronic ear infections to seeing neural regeneration, Dr. Jim’s special blend of chiropractic care has provided hope to families where hope has been lost.
Through the use of chiropractic techniques, muscle response testing and hands-on, non-forceful energy balancing procedures, Dr. Claussen brings a deeper level of healing and consciousness by re-establishing the full healing potential of the body. Understanding that the body makes no mistakes regarding health and longevity, B.E.S.T. principles acknowledge the concept of interference we create with our conscious mind. This interference causes imbalances in the autonomic nervous system, leading to exhaustion of our organ systems over time.
Dr. Colleen has always know that she wanted to work with children and moms. She learned the Webster technique and how to care for pregnant mothers in her pediatric training, but it wasn’t until she went through her own pregnancy that she really developed an appreciation for everything that a pregnant woman goes through physically and emotionally. Mothers are strong! She believes our bodies were intelligently designed for the beautiful process of birth; something our ancestors have been doing for thousands of years. All we need to do is listen to our hearts and we will know exactly what to do for ourselves and our children. She is determined to make it the standard that every mother, child, and family get adjusted. Her WHY is that big! She enjoys being part of the fantastic team of providers at The Health Doctors, Ltd. She is beyond excited to continue her passion for providing families and children with specific chiropractic care.
The biggest motivating factor for Dr. Julie to become a chiropractor was a desire to help autistic children. She enrolled at the National University of Health Sciences. “With its science-based approach, I learned how to be an excellent primary care doctor and figure out complex problems that people have.” In addition to her doctorate, Dr. Julie possesses full body certification in Active Release® Technique. She also is accredited by the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS), an organization that is run by medical doctors and trains physicians on how to care for children with autism. At MAPS, she underwent extensive training in functional medicine. In addition to chiropractic care, she uses nutrition and supplements to help restore the body to health. Specifically, she helps patients with detoxing, weight loss and balancing hormones. In her younger years, Dr. Julie had no interest in the medical field — that is until her second son was born. “He became autistic after being vaccinated at the age of approximately 18-20 months.” Through chiropractic adjustments, however, he experienced a remarkable turnaround. “We also pursued other therapies like a gluten-free diet – one of the things that caused him to recover completely.”
