LTP Medical Mobile, Inc. dba The Health Hut is a non-profit organization whose mission is to serve the medical needs of the uninsured population of Lincoln Parish through mobile medical care.
The Health Hut is a non-profit organization offering mobile medical care at no cost for the uninsured residents of Lincoln Parish. The Health Hut also became a Medicaid Provider on October 1, 2016. Services offered include screenings (high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, prostate cancer, renal disease, asthma/emphysema (COPD), and obesity/body mass index), follow-up care for chronic medical conditions (see above), limited treatment for acute asthma attacks and minor wound care, and free labs for proper diagnosis and follow-up care.
In the spring of 2012, The Health Hut launched the Small Business Wellness Initiative, featuring no-cost, on-location health screenings for businesses whose employees do not receive healthcare benefits.
The Health Hut was recognized in 2011 with the "Outstanding Rural Health Program of the Year" by the Louisiana Rural Health Association.
