The Hemet Library Foundation was formed in 2000 by a group of dedicated local citizens. Their mission - to raise funds for furnishings, fixtures, equipment and programs for the Hemet Public Library. To date the Foundation has raised over $1.2 million towards the furnishings, equipment, and library materials. The Foundation also assists the library by providing a variety of resources including direct mail campaigns, social events, volunteer orientation video and more. The members of the Foundation share a vision of the library as a an integral part of education, a center of community life and a catalyst for economic development.
The Hemet Library Foundation is a non profit, non partisan, volunteer group of local citizens dedicated to soliciting and managing funds for charitable purposes for the enhancement of the Hemet Public Library for all members of the community.
