Absolutely lovely staff and hotel. Very charming historic hotel. Hotel is extremely clean, with updated rooms, and delicate details. The staff is super kind, attentive, helpful, and prompt to reply. This will be my new hotel when I visit DC. I am so impressed with the staff and the hotel that I had to leave a review. While there is no ice machine similar to other hotels, the staff quickly brought a bucket to my room when I called the front desk. I absolutely love the Henley Park hotel and the entire staff. During this visit I wasn’t able to have noon tea, but this is a must for my next visit. Keep up the good work Henley staff, you all have impressed me and I’m pretty hard to impress. Noteworthy details: Phenomenal staff!
The location was phenomenal! All the employees were friendly and fast. Unfortunately, the bar wasn't opened Saturday night. Bummed us out a bit, but thats okay! Cleanliness lacked in the bathroom. Minor issues, but other than that the staff and location was great.
I stayed here for Otakon this year. The hotel is old but the experience was the best of any hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff were helpful, the bar and restaurant were very nice. When I stay in DC in the future this will be my hotel of choice. I hope to stay here next year for the convention myself and my friends are also trying to get rooms.
This is a very unassuming hotel from the outside, especially since it is right across from the Marriott Marquis. The inside is quaint and clean and the hotel staff are the friendliest and helpful hotel staff I have encountered in years. Only downside was the older AC system struggled to keep the room cool. Would definitely stay here again.
It looks better from the outside than inside. Dated, overpriced, rooms very small for price and don't bother with the expensive breakfast, best to go to a bakery locally. Best thing about this place was the very helpful night porter who managed to find me coffee with caffeine rather than the topped up decaffeinated the room maid put in my coffee station. Also at a mere £250 per night per room, one would expect a bottle of water, but no.... Rooms: My room was obviously above the kitchen with an extractor fan going all night and a view of a roof Food & drinks: Don't bother, overpriced and not great
We love our stay here, its clean and the bed is very comfortable we will definitely come back here when we visit DC next time!Rooms: 5/5
come here if you like wasting your money! my friends and i booked this hotel for a convention as the center was right across the street. the convention site we used for booking told us that there were two beds and kitchenette. NO place in this hotel has 2 beds or cooking amenities and we learned that we had booked a 1 king bed room and that is it. we ended up having to bring an air mattress and an air fryer so we wouldnt have to cram 4 people into a king bed and have to pay a hefty price to eat food at their extremely expensive downstairs restaurant. no food or drink is included with the room other than a shared water dispenser in the lobby was the only good part about this hotel. additionally, the elevators take FOREVER to come around and we were waiting for 15 minutes at one point. we were on the 4th floor and could hear every angry driver honking, every ambulance/police that came down the road every 5 minutes, and could even hear people yelling below. hows that for a relaxing weekend? we booked thursday to sunday. the online booking had it at around 940 for those days around 270 per night, NOT the 161 that google is sayingyet when we checked in we were charged 1300. when asked about the extra charge, the person at the desk said "its an insurance fee" and forced my friend to just give the card no questions asked. while checking in he verbally told us that we are staying thursday to sunday yes, that is what we booked and we have receipts. so we go on and do the thing at the convention. when trying to check out on sunday, another lady tells us that we were booked until monday. she said there is nothing she can do about it since we signed the booking. we showed her the receipts we have from the website saying we are booked until SUNDAY and that the person at checkin said we were booked until SUNDAY. she said "well we cant be sure that those are real and the person at check in actually said that you were staying until sunday, the only thing we have is that you are here until monday. we cant do anything about it because my superior isnt here." and sent us away. not only did she offer us zero solutions, she accused us of lying to try to get out of the extra day that we didnt book. we all had to leave on SUNDAY as my friend came in from california, one from massachusetts, im from canada, and none of us live in DC and we had to get to our flights. they said that theyd call us for checkout on mondaythey did not and when we did try to check out, they said they couldnt do anything about the extra charge and refused to give us a receipt because we booked it through the convention's website. they also never gave us our "insurance fee" back which is about 60 per night make sure to account for this when you stay, your bill will be higher than expected! this might be no problem for rich people, but we are just a bunch of 20-somethings trying to enjoy one of the single good things we can have in this horrible economy. we dont have 300 dollars to throw around willy nilly, we cant just not get on our flights, we cant just "stay another night" when we have to get home and get to work. come stay here if youre a rich vacationer who doesnt care about your money. dont come here if you actually have business to do.
My husband had a reservation made more than a month before for two guests and two bed, on the day we show up they say they don’t have two beds in one room and they charged us for the night despite this been their mistake for accepting the reservation and the request without saying that they don’t offer two beds in one room. Worst customer service. Don’t waste your money for such a poor service and suck a pricy place.
Loved this place! Historic hotel but recently renovated to a great standard. Very comfortable bed, nice furnishings, lovely staff, amazing location and reasonable rate.Rooms: 5/5
Very clean hotel that has a unique antiquated vibe. It's location is excellent only 2 min walk from the convention center and about a mile from the capital mall. Definitely would stay here again!Rooms: 5/5
