This was the first time dining at this restaurant. I never do reviews. However I feel the need to give this restaurant a five thumbs up! I had the prime rib it was so tender and juicy. The staff was so attentive in these strange times a good staff is hard to come by. We will definitely be back. They made my mother in laws birthday extra special. Thank you very much!
Apres ski dinner atThe Hideaway Grill, and its still as excellent as ever! Funny story, but we tried to get into the Texas Roadhouse first tonight, but faced with an hour and a half wait, we decided to upscale a bit and the the kids to the Hideaway. Good choice. But anyhow, the owner stopped and asked if we had come from the Texas Roadhouse. Apparently a couple from Toronto heard us leaving, and followed us here, so they said that they overheard the recommendation and they too were super happy with their dinners. Surf and Turf, Chicken Milanese, Strip Steak Sandwich with a Gorgonzola and sausage stuffed pepper, Famous BBQ ribs, French Onion, seafood bisque, chocolate and vanilla mousse in a chocolate heart cup, banana cream pie, tuxedo cake, coconut cream pie. Definitely one of my favorite places, and haven't been here in too long. They have some great Valentines specials too, if you haven't made plans yet. I'm thinking of coming back myself. Also have a great lunch menu and bar foods too. The salad on top of the Chicken Milanese was some greens, and notably some arugula, tomatoes onions, fresh mozzarella and shaved parmesan in balsamic vinaigrette amd the chicken was crispy and delicious. Ribs here have been a long time favorite, and Michael loved his first lobster tail ever, and said the parnesan and garlic crusted cauliflower was the best thing that he ever ate. The coconut cream pie is an award winner. For good reason, and the chocolate and vanilla mousse in a thick chocolate cup was delicious and decadent. And I snuck a takeout pie for later, too
I ordered the beer battered fish fry, and two desserts. Pros: The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly and I was pleased with the portion sizes. The beer batter on the fish was delicious. The Mac salad was tasty and the fires were some of the best I've ever had. The desserts were a peanut butter pie, as well as a lava cake. Both were good. Cons: although the French fires were amazing, I ordered a baked potato lol. Although the beer batter on the fish was excellent, the fish itself had no seasoning. For those reasons I scored this a 4 out of 5 stars.
Very good food but The French Fry’s you get and size of fish for $19 for a fish fry seemed to be a bit disappointing. It was cooked perfectly and it tasted very good.Food: 5/5
We are sure to stop here when in the area. We can always count on good food with great service. Normally we have to wait for a table @ 6PM, but got a high-top which was comfortable. Our bus boy, Billy was always making sure that our dishes were clear and our waters were full. Our waitress was very friendly as well.
For the price, the food was ok, the portion and presentation were meh at best. Almost $30 dollars for a small portion of chicken and 8 or 10 french fries with no other side. The pot pie is always good. The rest was not so much.Food: 3/5
Wonderful little romantic place!! Food was delicious. We ordered two filets. I ordered the blue cheese walnut crusted filet and my partner ordered plain filet. I liked the plain filet better than mine but both were so delicious!! The walnut crusted could have benefited from a sweet element. Caesar salad was perfect amount of dressing I prefer mine on the lighter side and tasty, fresh, real baked bread croutons. The mashed potatoes were a little underwhelming. I ended up adding leftover butter from the bread and salt to mine. I also ordered a glass of red wine and it was quite tasty!! Not too dry, not too sweet & just a perfect pairing with the meal. The bread and honey butter were also amazing. They have won my service and I would definitely go back to try any other of the many appetizing and tempting items on their menu!
The food was delicious! Service was great! The atmosphere was surprisingly more upscale than anticipated. This is definitely a 'don't judge the book by it's cover' place. I gave 4 out of 5 stars only because I felt the pasta dish and salmon were a bit pricey. I was made aware of the specials, but not the prices. I would still consider returning, I'll just be more aware of my selections.
French onion was fabulous. Seafood platter fish tasty but a bit to greasy shrimp crisp but tasteless scallops sm. Watery and fishy. Over all ordersomthing else. Maybe just the FO. Soup which was spot on. Banana cream pie was the best so was the cinnamon cheesecake. So soup and dessert are the best choices.Food: 3/5
Went here for a late evening date night. Waitress was wonderful. Meals were delicious, especially the BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp starter. I got the chicken milanese and my boyfriend got the chicken cordon bleu. This is our second visit to this place and both times did not disappoint.Food: 4/5
