Not many food options in this area so i was happy to find a decent place. Had a burger discovered it meant without the bread with brown sauce which was decent. Their apple pie with ice cream was good. So all in all, taking into account the cheap price, it was ok. Was tempted by their hamburger but they looked so heavy/big
A nice little place to grab a bite to eat. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. On top of that the service was outstanding! We would definitely go back again!Food: 5/5
**** Huge Recommendation! **** We stopped here after a weekend in Keji. The food was home-made, really nice with big portions. The desserts were delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful - and best of all the prices were 75% of what you pay in Halifax for a lesser-quality meal. We will definitely visit again. Well done to the Hollow Log Cafe Team for the awesome food & service.
I ordered a log loader burger, with fries for 15. The food was good, and fries were crisp. I also tried their poutine and chowder, which weren't bad either. The mocha was really good. Overall, good food at descent prices and friendly staff..5 Stars from me.
Just finished my chili & onion rings and both were great. Lots of meat and not hot tasting. Everything was fresh and just cooked. Joey enjoyed a chicken Cesar wrap. Clean. What atmosphere can you expect? Looked like sone great desserts too!Food: 5/5
This place is a hidden gem. We stopped on our way to another city and this was a real surprise. It is a cozy little restaurant where it looked like everybody knew everybody. We felt kind of an odd object there but the server was really nice and made recommendations. We had chowder which was probably the best of our entire trip and fish and chips. I did not like the batter but the fish was good and the fries were nice and crispy. The food took some time and the service was a bit slow but everything is made to order and fresh. This stop is a must. Try them!
Cozy restaurant but with unprofessional and slow indifferent service. I guess this is the Caledonia hospitality . Food was okay. As this is the only place for locals to go I bet they don't care about the review anyway. If I read the reviews before I walked in. I won't choose here but go to a gas station for some food.
Love this local café. We stop in here every time we are in the area and love the homestyle cooked food. We were delightfully surprised they really cater to gluten free needs and have quite a variety of dishes you can order that are gluten free. They even had the hot turkey dinner with gluten free gravy, which so many other places don’t even consider. Great service. Good food. We definitely recommend it.
Great little stop in or takeout eatery. Had a old fashioned club with cheese and real turkey. Fries were spot on right off the potato. My only complain are the hours of operation with the nearby campgrounds. Being that there are so few eateries nearby it would be nice if they had earlier hours of operation prior to park events in the morning. Little playground nearby but watch your kids as there was a uncovered electrical outlet up there.
The food is great! Home cooked made with love. The desserts looked absolutely delicious but we were too stuffed to try them. I had the club sandwich and was very happy with it. It was busy in there for Thursday at noon. Our waitress was great and ran the show extremely well all on her own!
