Programs:
BIKE WORKSHOP held twice a week, where youth participate in a build-a-bike program, learning essential skills in bicycle repair and maintenance. The program is staffed mainly by volunteers, and relies entirely on bicycle donations. For more information contact Liz Budd, Built Environment Coordinator at [email protected]
FEEST (Food Education Empowerment Sustainability Team) is an interactive event that the Holyoke youth host as a way of engaging the community towards policy change. The premise is that food brings people together. Local area youth get produce from local farms and prepare healthy meals with each other while listening to music, laughing and having a good time. For folks who aren’t in the kitchen, there is usually a presentation or educational theme that engages the guests of FEEST.This year FEEST events will be held every third Tuesday of the Month at Kate's Kitchen 51 hamilton St Holyoke MA from 4:00- 7:00 pm. Contact Arielle Aronoff at [email protected] for more information.
